FOCUS-49610 - Setup | Verify Strip Active Status
Accounting strips can now be marked inactive, and Focus will prevent their use in new financial transactions district-wide.
- Added the ability to mark an accounting strip inactive from Setup > Settings > Accounting Strips, for use when a strip is created in error or is no longer needed.
- Once inactivated, the strip is disabled from selection or use in future transactions--including purchase orders, invoices, receipts, checks, manual journals, budget entries, fixed asset allocations, work orders, transportation requests, warehouse requests, and card setup--across both district and internal accounts modules.
- This gives finance staff a way to retire outdated account strips without deleting them, even after they've already been used on prior transactions.
See Setup > Settings > Accounting Strips for more information.
FOCUS-60697 - Fixed Assets | Preserve Inactive Asset Accounts as Historical Options
Fixed Asset categories now correctly retain previously assigned GL accounts even after those accounts are made inactive.
- Debit and Credit Account fields on an existing Fixed Asset category will continue to display an account that was selected before it became inactive, marked as "(inactive)".
- These historical accounts remain saved with the category and are not cleared out when the category is reopened or saved again.
- Inactive accounts are no longer available for selection when creating or editing other categories; only active accounts appear as normal options..
FOCUS-60543 - Purchasing/Accounts Payable | Purchase Order/Request: File Upload Audit
Files attached to Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders now show who uploaded them and when.
- After uploading a file in a Purchase Request or Order, the uploader's name and upload date/time now display immediately and continue to display correctly after saving and reopening the record.
See Purchase Requests/Orders > Creating a Purchase Request/Order > Files, Comments, and Submission and Internal Purchase Requests/Orders > Creating an Internal Purchase Request/Order > Files, Comments, and Submission for more information.
FOCUS-60089 - Accounts Payable | Option to Include Non-1099 Vendors in 1099 Report
The 1099 Vendor Report now includes an option to show vendors that are not flagged as 1099.
- A new "Include non-1099 vendors" checkbox lets you pull in vendors with qualifying 1099 object code payments even if they aren't marked as 1099 vendors.
- When this option is selected, a new "1099 Vendor" column displays Yes/No status for each vendor, alongside Tax ID and all other existing report columns.
- Report behavior, column layout, and totals remain unchanged when this option is left unselected.
- This affects staff running the 1099 Vendor Report in ERP under Purchasing/AP → Reports.
See Purchasing/Accounts Payable > 1099 Vendor Report for more information.
FOCUS-58345 - Accounts Receivable | New Setting to Customize Convenience Fee Title
Added a setting that lets schools customize the name shown for the credit card convenience fee.
- A new "Convenience Fee Title" option is available under Setup > Settings > Accounts Receivable, allowing the default label "Convenience Fee" to be renamed (for example, to "Surcharge").
- The custom title now appears consistently everywhere the fee is referenced, including checkout, invoices, receipts, transaction history, transaction reports, and customer ledgers.
- Reverting the setting back to the default restores the original "Convenience Fee" label with no display issues..
See Setup > Settings > Accounts Receivable > Convenience Fees, Billing > Purchase & Pay > Purchase & Pay, and Accounts Receivable > Point of Sale > Payment Types > Cash, Check, Credit Card, Money Order, and Other for more information.
FOCUS-56699 - Community Store | Access Improvement
You can now open a specific school's Community Store directly by adding its school ID to the store link, skipping the school selection screen.
- Sharing or bookmarking a link with a valid school ID takes users straight to that school's Community Store.
- If the school ID in the link is missing, invalid, or doesn't match an available school, users still see the normal school selection screen with no errors.
FOCUS-58809 - HR > Jobs | Remove job position termination date
Job positions now use a single, consistent "End Date" to determine when a staff assignment is active, rather than the separate "Termination Date" field.
- Deductions calculated by job, timecard approvals, leave requests, backup approver assignments, and related payroll/HR processes now base activity and eligibility on the position's End Date rather than the Termination Date.
- The Termination Date field remains visible for reference (and has been relabeled "Final Date" in some areas), but no longer drives system behavior such as dropping deductions or restricting access.
- This affects payroll administrators, HR staff, and approvers who manage job positions, deductions, and time & attendance approvals for staff with backdated or upcoming terminations.
FOCUS-55803 - Payroll > Payroll | Add undelete to mass delete option
Payroll mass-delete actions can now be undone.
- When you delete multiple Leave, Misc Pay, Adjustments, Timecards, Overtime, Subs, or Reimbursements records at once, you can now enter a reason for the deletion and later restore that same group of records.
- A Restore option automatically appears above the grid whenever deleted records are available to bring back, and disappears once nothing remains to restore.
- Restoring returns the previously deleted records to the list exactly as they were before deletion.
See Payroll > Deleting & Restoring Records for Timecards, Overtime, Misc Pay, & Adjustments for more information.
FOCUS-60941 - T&A Setup | Add address search to geofence map
Added an address search to the geofence boundary map in Time & Attendance Setup, making it easier to locate and draw boundaries without relying on GPS or manual zooming.
- When drawing or editing a geofence boundary, staff can now type an address into a new search box above the map and click "Find Address" to zoom directly to that location.
- If an address can't be found or the lookup service is temporarily unavailable, a clear message is shown so users know to try again.
See Time & Attendance Setup > Geofencing tab for more details.
FSS-101116 - ESS | Add State W4 Information to Employee Change Request Options
Employee Self Service now supports State W4 change requests.
- A new "State W4 Information" tab has been added under Employee Requests, allowing employees to submit changes to their state W-4 details in addition to the existing Federal W4 request option.
- Employees can update their State Filing Status, Additional Withholding, Reduced Withholding, and Exempt status, sign the request, and submit it for approval just like the Federal W4 request.
- The tab displays current and proposed values side by side, and approved changes are recorded and viewable in the request history.
See ESS > Employee Requests > Request Employee Information Change, HR > View ESS > Employee Requests > Request Employee Information Change, and(Teachers) ESS > Employee Requests > Request Employee Information Change for more information.
FSS-101176 - HR > EAF | Add 'Show Previous Years' option and pay type to Add a Position view
The Employee Action Form now shows pay type and lets HR view previous years' job history without leaving the approval screen.
- A new "Pay Type" column appears in the job table on the Employee Action Form, so HR reps can see pay type details without opening a separate tab.
- A new "Show Previous Years" checkbox lets HR reps display the employee's jobs from prior fiscal years within the same job table, matching what's shown on the employee's job screen.
- The previous years' view updates automatically when switching between employees, and the standard current-year view is unchanged when the checkbox is left unchecked.
See HR > Employee Action Form > Requesting an Employee Change > Add a Position Request for more information.
FSS-101217 - Journal > Journal Report | Append Payroll Run description to Payroll Run Code result field
The Journal Report now shows the payroll run description alongside the run code in the Payroll Run Code column.
- For manual payroll runs, the result now displays the run description (e.g., "2025:Manual:MVA-272 Benefit Refunds") instead of just the code (e.g., "2025:Manual").
- This makes it easy to distinguish between multiple manual runs directly from the report results, without needing to cross-reference the Payroll Run filter dropdown.
- Affects users in Budgeting/General Ledger who run the Journal Report.
FSS-101336 - Add dedicated "Add Time Card" function for missed punches in prior pay periods
Employees can now report a missed punch for a past, already-finalized pay period using a new "Add Time Card" option, without having to reopen or edit the entire prior pay period.
- From the timecard screen, employees can add a time card entry for a date in an earlier pay period, and it flows into approval as a pending request tied to the correct fiscal year and facility.
- The prior-period entry now correctly shows the employee's applicable position, schedule, and special request options for the date entered, rather than only current-period options.
- Break entry sections are no longer shown on employee-submitted time cards for prior periods, since breaks aren't applicable in this workflow.
- Access is limited to the employee's own timecards when using this new entry method, preventing accidental access to others' records.
See ESS > View/ Edit Timecards > Adding a Timecard for a Previous Pay Period for more information.
FOCUS-60719 - Parent Absence Requests: New Reopen & Edit Functionality for Admins
Staff with edit permissions can now reopen, amend, or remove previously processed absence requests and staff-entered documentation, with attendance automatically corrected to match.
On the Parent Absence Requests page, a processed request can be reopened, which returns it to Pending and reverses the attendance it originally recorded.
On a student's Absence Summary, staff-entered documentation can now be edited (with attendance rewritten to match the change) or removed (with the related attendance undone), while remaining visible under "Show processed" for audit purposes.
This automatic attendance correction applies to requests and documentation processed from this update forward. If a record processed before the update is reopened or edited, a message will identify the affected dates so staff can review and adjust attendance manually.
All attendance changes made through Parent Absence Requests are now recorded in the Student Audit Trail.
See Parent Absence Requests > Reopening or Editing Processed Requests, Absence Summary (Admin), Administration > Parent Absence Request Details (Admin), and Profiles > Attendance > Parent Absence Requests: View/Edit Parent Absence Requests.
FOCUS-60240 - Imports: Editable Settings and Filename Wildcard Support for Scheduled Import Jobs
Scheduled import jobs can now automatically match files with changing names, and their settings can be edited without leaving the Scheduled Jobs screen. Scheduled imports can be set up with a wildcard file pattern (for example, Users_*.csv) so timestamped or sequentially named files are picked up automatically each time the job runs, whether the file is stored locally or on a remote server; when multiple matching files are found, they are processed oldest to newest. The Import Settings button on the Scheduled Jobs tab now opens the settings directly in a pop-up window instead of navigating to the full Imports workspace. Within this window, the File Source section now includes an inline edit option for updating the filename or wildcard pattern. An Archive after processing toggle is now always available in this window; it is turned on automatically when a wildcard pattern is entered to prevent the same file from importing twice, but it can be turned off for files that are intentionally reused on a schedule.
See Imports > Scheduled Jobs and Remote Server Setup for more information.
FOCUS-60001 - New Primary Info Custom Field Category
Primary Info is now a full, manageable category available in Setup > Fields under Student Fields. Administrators can assign fields to this category using the standard category drop-down, set a sort order, and customize the category's display title through the new Primary Info Title preference in Setup > System Preferences. Existing fields that were previously shown in Primary Info have been automatically migrated to this new category. The field setting formerly labeled "Visible on Add a Student Search" has been renamed to "Visible on Add a Student Search Results" to more accurately reflect its purpose, which is to control whether a field appears as a column in Add a Student search results. This setting is now independent of Primary Info category membership, so fields can belong to the Primary Info category without appearing in search results, and vice versa. Select Multiple field types now display correctly in Add a Student search results. Note that certain field types, including logging, file upload, placeholder, and computed fields, do not support the Visible on Add a Student Search Results option.
See System Preferences > General, Fields > Student Fields Options, Student Info, and Add a Student for more information.
FOCUS-58283 - Student Fields: New Group Following Fields Placeholder Enhancement
Placeholder Student Fields can now visually group related fields together. When editing a Student Field placeholder, a new "Group Following Fields" option lets you group the fields that follow it inside a labeled, bordered section, making related fields easier to identify at a glance. You can choose whether the group ends at the next placeholder automatically or select a specific field where the group should stop, and existing placeholders can be switched back to normal (non-grouped) display at any time.
See Fields > Placeholder for more information.
FOCUS-60666 - Student Schedule: Print Schedule Now Supports Letterhead Templates
The Print Schedule button on the Student Schedule screen now supports letterhead templates. When clicked, a modal appears allowing you to select a letterhead template and generate a PDF using the same template rendering as Scheduling > Print Student Schedules. The PDF option is selected by default; unchecking it retains the existing browser print behavior.
See Student Schedule > Exporting or Printing a Student Schedule (New) and Student Schedule > Exporting or Printing a Student Schedule (Legacy) for more information.
FOCUS-60137 - Detention List: New Calendar View with Popup by Detention Type
A new calendar view has been added to the Detention List page, making it easier to see and manage student detentions by date. Detentions can now be viewed on a monthly calendar, with previous and next month navigation, in addition to the existing list view, and the calendar can be shown or hidden as needed. Clicking a date opens a popup listing all students scheduled for detention that day, grouped by detention type such as lunch, after school, or ISS, along with each student's ID, name, and grade. Detentions can be marked complete directly from the popup or from the standard list, and completed students are automatically removed from the active list. Students spanning multiple detention days now appear on every day they are expected to serve, and an option in the popup allows viewing already-completed detentions for that date.
See Detention List (Admin) and Detention List (Teacher) for more information.
FOCUS-59191 - Focus Transfer: Match on Short Name OR Subject Code
Enhances Focus Transfer by improving how Test History records are matched during student transfers.
When importing Test History, the transfer process now attempts to match test parts by Short Name first and, if no match is found, falls back to the standardized Subject Code. This improves compatibility between districts that use different short names for the same assessment while maintaining accurate Test History imports.
FOCUS-60745 - Graduation Rate Report: Exclude Transfer-Out Students From ACGR Cohort Denominator
The Graduation Rate Report now correctly excludes students classified as Transfer Out of Cohort from the cohort denominator when calculating school-level graduation rates, in alignment with Florida ACGR methodology. Additionally, the W50 withdrawal code is now recognized as a cohort exclusion, ensuring students withdrawn under that code are properly removed from the graduation rate calculation alongside other transfer-out codes. This applies to Florida only.
FOCUS-60597 - FAST Reports: New Teacher Breakdown (FL)
FAST reports now include a teacher-level breakdown for FAST assessment results. School-level FAST reports offer two drill-down options, "by student" or "by teacher," so administrators can view assessment results grouped either way. The new teacher breakdown lists each teacher's average score and lets you drill down further to see the students tied to that teacher. Teachers viewing their own FAST reports now see results automatically scoped to their own students. Clear messages now appear when no teacher assessment configuration exists or when no matching student results are found, instead of a blank report.
See FAST Report for more information.
FOCUS-60352 - Online Enrollments: Fix missing applicant matches in Add a Student wizard
When the system preference to show applicants in exact and partial matches on the Add a Student wizard is enabled, applicants now appear correctly in search results when processing an unprocessed application through Online Enrollments. Previously, searching by name or birth date returned no results in this workflow despite the preference being enabled. Applicants from prior school years also appear as expected when the district's default year has been advanced.
FOCUS-58968 - Scheduled Jobs: Update Set Next School for Enrollment Restrictions
The Set Next School scheduled job now respects active enrollment restrictions when defining the appropriate Rolling/Retention student enrollment value. Students who have an enrollment restriction on file will no longer be assigned a next school that falls outside their allowed schools list. If the scheduled job determines that the destination school is restricted for a student, that student's Rolling/Retention option will be set to Do Not Enroll.
FOCUS-60859 - Fields & System Preferences: Updates SYear to Display "2026-27"
School year dropdowns now display as a range (e.g., "2025-26") instead of a single year (e.g., 2025). This applies to the Default School Year option in System Preferences > Default School Preferences, as well as Minimum and Maximum School Year dropdowns when setting up Select One fields.
See System Preferences and Fields for more information.
FSS-101476 - ELL Analytics: Add Exit Date Column, PK-LP Students KPI, and Fix Long Label Bar-Click Filtering
ELL Analytics under Students > ELL Analytics now includes an ELL Exit Date column in the student data table to support monitoring of ELL timelines. A new PK-LP Students summary indicator identifies PreK students with LP status and can be selected to filter the student list to those students. Chart filtering has also been improved so selecting chart values with longer, multi-line labels correctly filters the displayed student results.
See ELL Analytics for more details.
FOCUS-60052 - Add Created By Column to Applications & Forms in Student Info
A new "Created By" column has been added to Applications & Forms in Student Info. This read-only column shows who created each form request, displaying the staff member's name when a form was added directly through Applications & Forms, or the student's name when the form originated from Student Form Publishing. Users who can already view the Applications & Forms datatable will automatically see this column, with no additional permission setup required.
See New Application Editor and Online Enrollments for Students for more information.
FOCUS-57484 - New Online Applications Form Fees Support
Form fees can now be collected directly within the new online student application, with the option to pay online or in person before submitting. If a form fee is configured for an application (through the Application Editor or Manage Fee Templates), applicants must complete payment--either online by card or by choosing to pay in person--before they can submit the form. A billing page is automatically added to the application to display the fee, accept payment, or confirm that payment will be made in person, and this page can be repositioned like any other page when designing the application. Once payment is completed, applicants see a confirmation of the amount paid; if paying in person, they see a summary of the amount due. This applies to schools using the new online application editor with form fees enabled; online payment through outside payment gateways is not yet supported and will be added in a future update.
See New Application Editor and Online Enrollments for Students for more information.
FOCUS-59897 - Guided Address/Returning Guided Address Improvements in New Online App
This update applies to customers using the New Online Application with Guided Address functionality included in their form layout. County field now displays for the primary address. Phone type now defaults to Cell when adding a contact. Two new verification questions have been added per emergency contact. Phone and email confirmation questions have been rephrased for consistency.
Additionally, the Returning Student Guided Address form now respects approval settings. When the form is configured to require approval, changes to addresses and contacts are held as pending change requests and are not applied to live student records until the submission is approved.
See New Application Editor and Online Enrollments for Students for more information.
