FOCUS-58299- Accounts Payable Check Report | Include Amount Type Breakout

Added an Include Amount Type option to the AP Check Report. When enabled, the report displays separate ACH Deposit Amount, Printed Check Amount, and Manual Entry Amount columns. Each column populates only for its corresponding payment type and includes Page Totals and Grand Totals. The new columns support filtering, sorting, toggling, exporting, and printing.

See Check Report > Generating the Reports for more information.

FOCUS-58296- Purchase Order/Request Report | Open/Closed Filter Added

A new Open/Closed filter has been added to the Purchase Order/Requests Report. Users can now filter results to show only Open purchase orders, only Closed purchase orders, or both. The filter is available across all report tabs (General, Detailed, and Item) and works in combination with existing criteria such as Fiscal Year. This improvement provides greater control over report output and reduces reliance on the Outstanding criteria for narrowing results.

See Purchase Request/Order Report > The Purchase Request/Order Report for more information.

FOCUS-58250 - Bank Reconciliation | Deposit Matching

A new Deposit Matching Date Tolerance setting has been added to allow more flexible auto-matching of deposits during bank reconciliation and internal bank reconciliation. Previously, deposits had to match exactly by date. Now, the system can automatically match deposits when the bank transaction date falls within a configurable number of days from the Focus deposit date.

  • A new "Deposit Matching Date Tolerance" setting is available under Setup → Settings → Miscellaneous → Bank Reconciliation
  • Enter the number of days (e.g., 1 or 2) to allow as a date range when matching deposits
  • Exact-date matches always take priority over tolerance-based matches
  • If multiple bank entries fall within the tolerance window, the earlier date wins
  • Setting the value to 0 or leaving it blank disables the feature (default behavior unchanged)
  • Applies to deposit-type outstanding credits only — debits and non-deposit credits are unaffected

See Setup > Settings > Miscellaneous > Bank Reconciliation, Budgeting/General Ledger > Bank Reconciliation > Outstanding Credits and Outstanding Debits, and Budgeting/General Ledger > Internal Account Bank Reconciliation > Outstanding Credits and Outstanding Debits for more information.

FOCUS-58222- District Budget Planning | CSV Import Now Supports a "Notes" Field

Previously, the "Desc" (Description) column in budget CSV import files was not recognized during import into District Budget Planning. Because strip descriptions are read-only by design, a new Notes field has been added to each budget line in District Budget Planning.

What's new:

  • A "Notes" column in your CSV import file can now be mapped and imported into District Budget Planning.
  • The Notes field displays on each budget row for reference, but is read-only on screen -- it can only be populated via import.

How to use:

  1. Prepare your CSV file with a "Notes" column.
  2. In District Budget Planning, click Import, upload the file, and map the column to "Notes."
  3. Run the import -- notes will appear on each corresponding budget row.

Note: The importing user must have access to the applicable fund and fiscal year.

See District Budget Planning > Creating a Budget Scenario and Additional Features for more information.

FOCUS-58050- Settings | Add import capability to Commodity Codes

Added an Import capability to the Commodity Codes Classes screen, allowing users to bulk import Commodity Code records from a file. Import functionality supports Vendor and Buyer matching while maintaining existing Commodity Code management features.

See Commodity Codes > Additional Features for more information.

FOCUS-58034- Vendors/Customers | Insurance Expiration Date Column Added to Contacts Grid

An Insurance Expiration Date column has been added to the Vendors/Customers Contacts grid. Users can now view vendor insurance expiration dates directly from the contact list without needing to open individual vendor records. The column displays the latest insurance expiration date associated with the vendor and supports standard grid sorting.

See Vendors/Customers > Searching for Vendors/Customers for more information.

FOCUS-57926- Permission Report | Full Export Option

Added an Export button to the Permission Report (found under Setup > Profiles in ERP or Users > Profiles in SIS). Previously, the report was limited to displaying a maximum of 10,000 records, which could prevent administrators from obtaining a complete view of all profile permissions. The new Export button generates a CSV file containing the full result set -- supporting well beyond the prior 10,000-record cap -- so administrators can review and audit the complete set of permissions across all users, profiles, and modules.

See ERP > Setup > Profiles > Using the Permission Report and SIS > Users > Profiles > Using the Permission Report for more information.

FOCUS-57854- Fixed Assets | Corrected Invoice Display for Assets Sharing a Purchase Order

Enhanced Fixed Assets invoice association logic to display only invoices that actually pay the originating PO line for a specific asset. Assets that share the same Purchase Order no longer display unrelated invoice links from other asset lines under the same PO. Fixed Assets Purchasing Information, Fixed Assets Report, and Fixed Assets Detailed Report now show invoice information specific to the individual asset, improving accuracy and reducing confusion when multiple assets exist under the same Purchase Order.

FOCUS-57166- Bank Accounts Setup | New Option to Restrict Bank Accounts from Manual Journals

A new Restricted feature has been added to the Bank Accounts setup screen (ERP > Setup > Bank Accounts). Administrators can now set restriction dates for individual bank accounts to prevent them from being used in manual journals on or after a specified date. Separate restriction dates are available for:

  • Restrict from District MJ - prevents the bank account from appearing in the bank dropdown on Manual Journals (ERP > Budgeting/General Ledger > Manual Journals)
  • Restrict from Internal MJ - prevents the bank account from appearing in the bank dropdown on Internal Account Manual Journals

When a restriction date is set and the journal date falls on or after that date, the restricted bank account will no longer appear as a selectable option. Removing or clearing the restriction date restores the bank account to the dropdown, making it available for use again. Journal entries created before the restriction date remain unaffected.

See Setup > Bank Accounts > Bank Accounts, Budgeting/General Ledger > Manual Journals > Creating Manual Journals, and  Budgeting/General Ledger > Internal Account Manual Journals > Creating Manual Journals for more information.

FOCUS-57060- Bank Reconciliation | Added Voided Date Column to Voided Checks Tab

A new Voided Date column has been added to the Voided Checks tab on the Bank Reconciliation screen. This column displays the date each check was voided, making it easier to correlate void events with bank statement activity and improving overall reconciliation accuracy. The new column supports sorting and filtering, consistent with other date columns on the screen. The Outstanding Checks and Reconciled Checks tabs are not affected.

See Budgeting/General Ledger > Bank Reconciliation > Voided Checks and Budgeting/General Ledger > Internal Account Bank Reconciliation > Voided Checks for more information.

FOCUS-57001- Transportation | Improved Print Layout for Driver Sheet Trip Details

Enhanced the Bus Driver Sheet print layout to more clearly separate pickup and drop-off information for each trip leg. The Drop-Off Time for the departure leg now correctly appears under the destination (To) section, rather than being grouped with the pickup (From) information. This improvement applies to all Bus Request form types and makes the printed Driver Sheet easier to read and follow for drivers in the field.

FOCUS-56791- Accounts Receivable | New "Allow Balance-Only AR Receipts" Setting

A new setting, "Allow Balance-Only AR Receipts," has been added under ERP > Setup > Settings > Accounts Receivable. When enabled, receipts that use only the Fund element (without Function, Object, or Revenue) will bypass budget validation, allowing them to be saved and posted without requiring additional account strip elements. These receipts post using dedicated Fund Balance journal sources (e.g., AR Fund Balance Receipt and AR Fund Balance Receipt Reversed for voids), ensuring clear audit visibility without impacting expense or revenue GL accounts. Receipts that include Function or other elements continue to follow standard budget validation rules.

See Setup > Settings > Accounts Receivable > Receipts, Accounts Receivable > Receipts > Creating/Editing Receipts,  and Accounts Receivable > Internal Account Receipts > Creating/Editing Receipts for more information.

FOCUS-56659- Vendors/Customers | W9 Section Now Always Visible with View Permission

The W9 Details section on the Vendors/Customers contact page is now always visible to users who have the view permission, regardless of whether the W9 checkbox is checked or unchecked. Previously, the W9 section was hidden when the W9 checkbox was not selected, which could prevent users from viewing or entering W9 information. Users without the W9 view permission will continue not to see the section, as expected.

See Vendors/Customers > Viewing and Updating Current Vendors/Customers for more information.

FOCUS-56447- Vendors/Customers | Usability & Data Visibility Improvements

Several enhancements have been made to the Vendors/Customers screen to improve usability and streamline common workflows:

  • Created Timestamp - A new Created date/time is now displayed alongside the existing Last Updated field on vendor/customer records, providing better visibility into when each record was originally created. Records without a creation date will display "N/A."
  • Default Filter Preferences - Three new user preference settings are now available under Setup > User Preferences for the Vendors/Customers screen:
    • Default "Limit To" - Sets the default alphabetical filter (e.g., All, 0-9, A, B, etc.)
    • Default "Show" - Sets the default status filter (Active, Inactive, or All)
    • Default "Include" - Sets the default record type filter (Vendors, Customers, or Both)
  • Once saved, these preferences are automatically applied each time the Vendors/Customers screen is opened, reducing the need to manually adjust filters on every visit.
  • Add Multiple Commodity Codes - A new Add Multiple button has been added to the Commodity Codes section of a vendor record. This allows users to select and assign multiple commodity codes at once from a pop-up dialog, rather than adding them one at a time. Already-assigned codes are excluded from the selection list.

See Setup > User Preferences > Your User Preferences and Vendors/Customers > Viewing and Updating Current Vendors/Customers for more information.

FOCUS-56282- Vendors/Customers | New Setting to Require Status for ACH Direct Deposit Vendors

A new Accounts Payable setting, "Require Vendor ACH Direct Deposit status," has been added under ERP > Setup > Settings > Accounts Payable > Misc. When enabled, vendors or customers with a Vendor Payment Type of ACH Direct Deposit must have the Status field populated before the record can be saved.

Key details:

  • When the setting is enabled: The system will validate that a Status value (e.g., Active) is selected for any vendor/customer using ACH Direct Deposit as their payment type. If Status is left blank, a validation message will appear, and the record cannot be saved until a Status is provided.
  • Existing ACH vendors with no Status: When an existing ACH Direct Deposit vendor record is opened and the Status is blank, the field will default to Active.
  • Non-ACH payment types are not affected -- the Status requirement only applies when the Vendor Payment Type is set to ACH Direct Deposit.
  • When the setting is disabled (default): Existing behavior is preserved -- Status is not required for any payment type.

See Setup > Settings > Accounts Payable > Misc Purchase Requests/Orders and Releasing Settings, Purchasing/Accounts Payable > Vendors/Customers > Adding Vendors/Customers, and Purchasing/Accounts Payable > Vendors/Customers > Viewing and Updating Current Vendors/Customers for more information.

FOCUS-55176- Fixed Assets | Checkout Support for Non-SIS Districts

The Fixed Assets checkout functionality now supports districts that do not use the SIS student roster. The Assigned Student field allows entry of a free-text Student Name/ID when no student roster is present, enabling assets to be checked out and tracked without requiring a linked SIS roster. Checkout history is fully maintained, and previously entered student identifiers appear as suggestions for faster data entry.

What's changed:

  • Check Out and Check In now work for sites without an SIS student roster
  • The Assigned Student field accepts a typed Student Name/ID instead of requiring a roster dropdown selection
  • A suggestion dropdown displays previously used student identifiers as you type
  • Full checkout history records the student identifier, facility, asset, and user who performed the action

See Fixed Assets > Check Out > Check Out an Asset to a Student for more information.

FOCUS-57967- Applicant Tracking | Online Applications "Reason" Column Added to Completed Applications

A new "Reason" column has been added to the Completed Applications section of the applicant's Application & Forms view. When an application is sent back to the applicant from the Unprocessed tab, the reason provided by the reviewer now displays directly in the applicant's Completed Applications table, giving applicants clear visibility into why their application was returned.

FOCUS-57948 - Applicant Tracking | Job Posting Type Filter Added to Job Postings

A new "Job Posting Type" search filter has been added to the Job Postings page. Administrators can enable this filter under Job Posting Setup → Miscellaneous → Enable Job Posting Search Filters. Once enabled, applicants viewing Job Postings will see a "Job Posting Type" filter in the sidebar, allowing them to narrow results by posting type (e.g., Public, Internal, Transfer). This filter can be toggled on or off independently of other existing search filters.

FOCUS-57715- New Payroll | Improved Errors and Warnings Layout on Process Payroll Screen

Redesigned the Errors and Warnings sections on the Process Payroll screen. The legend information, previously displayed in a separate pop-up dialog, has been moved in-line with dedicated Tables and Legend tabs within each section. This makes it easier to reference error/warning codes and their meanings without navigating away from the data, improving usability during payroll processing and review.

FOCUS-57694- Applicant Tracking | Resume Viewer

A new Resume Viewer feature has been added to the Applicant Tracking module (Human Resources > Applicant Tracking > Applicants).

What's New:

  • A "View Resume" button is now available on the Applicants tab, allowing you to open an applicant's uploaded resume directly in a pop-up viewer without leaving the page.
  • A new configuration option in Job Posting Setup > Miscellaneous lets administrators:
    • Toggle the resume column on or off on the Applicants tab
    • Select which file custom field should be used as the resume source

FOCUS-57630- Time & Attendance | Approval History Status Clarity

Updated the Timekeeper Approval column in Timecard Approvals and Approval History to display "Reviewed" instead of "Approved" when a timekeeper has acted on some timecard records (e.g., denied entries) but not yet fully approved all records for the period. Previously, the column showed "Approved" as soon as any timekeeper action was taken, which could mislead managers into thinking the entire timecard had been approved. The corrected label more accurately reflects that the timecard has been reviewed but may still have records pending final approval.

See Time & Attendance Approval > Approval History for details.

FOCUS-57594- Employee Self Service | Employee Signature and Timestamp Now Visible on W4 Approval Screen

When an employee submits a W4 change request through Employee Self Service, the HR approver reviewing the request on the Pending Approval screen can now see the employee's name and signature timestamp. This provides approvers with clear confirmation of who signed the request and when, improving the audit trail for W4 change approvals.

See ESS > Employee Requests > Pending Approval & Approval History and View ESS > View ESS > Employee Requests > Request Employee Information Change for more information.

FOCUS-57592- Payroll | Retro Pay Spreads Across Previous Allocations

Retro pay calculations properly distribute retroactive wage adjustments across the employee's previous allocation records for the retro period. The system uses time-weighted allocation percentages to correctly distribute retro pay across all applicable allocation records, ensuring the Salaries & Benefits Report and related financial reports accurately reflect the proper funding distribution.

FOCUS-57415- New Payroll | Redesigned Run Creation With Tabbed Layout

The Run creation screen has been redesigned to improve usability. Instead of displaying all information on a single screen, the payroll run view is now organized into tabs -- making it easier to navigate and manage pay codes, supplements, and other payroll details during entry and review.

FOCUS-57048- Employee | SSN Visibility Permissions Enhanced

SSN (Social Security Number) visibility in the Employee dropdown and employee profiles is now controlled by more granular permissions. Previously, a single permission governed SSN access. This has been replaced with four separate permissions that give administrators finer control:

  • View Full SSN - Active Employees
  • View Full SSN - Inactive Employees
  • View Masked SSN (Last 4) - Active Employees
  • View Masked SSN (Last 4) - Inactive Employees

See Setup > Profiles > Human Resources tab for details.

FOCUS-55709- Time & Attendance | Breaks on Special Requests

Employees can now record breaks taken during special request entries on their timecards. A new "Allow Breaks" setting has been added to individual Special Request configurations, giving administrators control over which special requests support break tracking.

New Settings:

  • Allow Breaks (per Special Request) - Navigate to HR > Time and Attendance Setup > Special Requests, select the desired special request, and enable the Allow Breaks option. This determines whether employees clocked in under that special request can take breaks.
  • Manual Breaks (on Schedule) - Navigate to HR > Time & Attendance Setup > Schedules > Special Request and check Manual Breaks to enable manual break entry for special request schedules.

How It Works:

When both settings are enabled and an employee clocks in under a special request, the "Go on Break" and "Return from Break" buttons become available on the time clock. Break time is recorded against the associated clock-in and reflected in View/Edit Timecards under ESS > View Requests.

See Time & Attendance Setup > Special Requests for more details.

FOCUS-57168- Portal Editor Modernization & Personalized Portal Layouts

The Portal Editor has been redesigned to provide a more flexible and user-friendly experience for managing portal layouts. Users can rearrange portal content using drag-and-drop controls, resize blocks, add additional rows, and manage portal content from a streamlined editing interface. A new Preview Mode allows administrators to view portal changes before saving, making it easier to review layout updates without leaving the editor.

Users with the "Allow user to customize their own portal layout" profile permission can now create a personalized version of their portal. Personal changes affect only that user's view and do not modify the district's default portal layout.

Additional enhancements include:

  • Drag-and-drop support for Program, Chart, and HTML blocks.
  • Direct editing of existing Chart and HTML blocks.
  • Support for District Analytics dashboard blocks within portal layouts.
  • Continued support for existing portal configurations and previously created custom dashboards.

The update preserves existing portal functionality for administrators, staff, students, and parents while providing a more intuitive editing experience and optional user-level customization.

See Portal Editor, Profiles, Portal > Customizing Your Own Portal Layout (Admin), and Portal > Customizing Your Own Portal Layout (Teacher) for more information.

FOCUS-57074- School Choice Analytics Dashboard

Introduces a new School Choice Analytics dashboard for districts that have both Built-In Analytics and Focus School Choice enabled. The dashboard provides interactive analytics and visualizations for school choice applications, including application status, program participation, seat utilization, grade-level distributions, demographics, attendance, discipline, school enrollment trends, and more.

Users can filter results by school, application type, and other available criteria, interact with charts to filter underlying data, drill into student-level details, and review program summaries. The dashboard also includes an enrollment map that visualizes applicant distribution by geographic area and supports exporting filtered data for additional analysis.

Access is controlled through dedicated School Choice Analytics permissions and is only available when analytics functionality is enabled for the district.

See Setup > School Choice Analytics and Profiles > Setup tab > School Choice Analytics for more information.

FOCUS-58175- Master Schedule Report: Add School Name in Print Header

Enhances the printed Master Schedule Report by including the selected school name in the report header. When a Master Schedule Report is printed, the school currently selected in the upper-right school selector is now displayed at the top of the report.

FOCUS-58080- Find My School: Printing Improvements

Adds a new Print option to the Find My School tool, allowing users to generate a printer-friendly version of their school assignment results.

See Address Catalog > Find My School for more information.

School Zones for District - Live Demo - Focus

FOCUS-58054- Show Filters by Default on Mobile Course Catalog

Enhances the mobile experience for Postsecondary districts using the Hide Courses and Sections on Public Catalog preference. When this preference is enabled and course listings are hidden by default, mobile users are now automatically presented with the Filters tab when accessing the public course catalog, allowing them to immediately enter search criteria without first opening the filters panel. After a search is submitted, the catalog automatically switches to the results view so users can immediately see matching courses and sections.

FOCUS-58048- Student Portal: Shows Senior Report Cards based on "Last Day for Seniors"

Improves report card visibility for graduating seniors by incorporating the Last Day for Seniors attendance preference when determining report card eligibility.

When a district utilizes the Last Day for Seniors setting, Grade 12 students are evaluated against that date rather than their enrollment end date when determining access to published report cards. This ensures seniors who remain active through their final instructional day can continue to view published report cards even if their official withdrawal date occurs shortly afterward, as part of end-of-year processing.

See System Preferences > Attendance tab for more information.

FOCUS-58033- Communication: Limit Assigning Messages to Users With Permission to all Components

Enhances the Communication Platform by validating user permissions when messages are assigned to another user for processing. Messages can now only be assigned to users who have permission to send all communication components included in the message. For example, SMS messages cannot be assigned to users without SMS permissions, phone calls cannot be assigned to users without call permissions, and poll or push notification messages cannot be assigned to users who lack access to those communication types.

FOCUS-57887- Community Mobile App: Add Referral Tab

Adds a new Referral tab to the Community Mobile App, allowing authorized staff to create student discipline referrals directly from a student's mobile profile. Users with referral creation permissions can access the new tab, complete referral details, and submit referrals without leaving the mobile app. After a referral is successfully created, the app automatically returns the user to the student summary view and displays a confirmation message. The Referral tab is only available to users with the appropriate discipline permissions and remains hidden for students, parents, and staff members without referral creation access.

See Using the Mobile App for Administrators and Using the Mobile App for Teachers for more information.

sandbox.focusschoolsoftware.c…locale=EN&color_scheme=light

FOCUS-57847- Custom Fields Default Values for Option Queries

Enhances Custom Fields by allowing Select One and Select Multiple fields that use Select Option Queries to define and use default values.

Previously, fields populated through option queries could not have a default value configured. With this update, administrators can select default values from the query-generated options, allowing fields to be automatically populated when new records are created.

FOCUS-57450- Parent & Student Portal Discipline Record Organization for Referrals vs. Minor Infractions

Enhances the Parent and Student Portal discipline view by automatically separating Referrals and Minor Infractions into distinct sections when districts utilize the Minor Infractions feature.

When Minor Infractions are enabled and users have permission to view them, classroom referrals are displayed in a dedicated Minor Infractions section, while traditional discipline referrals remain in the Referrals section. This provides a clearer view of student discipline records and makes it easier for parents and students to distinguish between classroom-managed incidents and formal disciplinary referrals.

See Referrals (Parent/Student) for more information.

Referrals

FOCUS-57288- Focus Transfer Enrollment Update Confirmation and Audit Logging

Enhances the Focus Transfer approval process by providing additional visibility and control when transfer approvals affect a student's enrollment record.

When approving a transfer request that would modify an existing enrollment end date, users are now presented with a confirmation dialog that displays the proposed change and allows them to either accept the suggested drop date or retain the student's existing enrollment end date.

The enhancement also adds enrollment audit tracking when Focus Transfer updates enrollment information.

See Focus Transfers for additional information.

FOCUS-57204- Safety Management Student Self-Reporting

Adds a new Student Reporting option to Safety Management, allowing students to report their status directly through the Community App during an active Safety Management event.

When enabled through system preferences and profile permissions, students can indicate whether they are safe or need assistance, provide their current location, and optionally submit additional notes. Student responses are immediately available within the Safety Management event, allowing administrators and staff to monitor student status in real time.

Student-reported responses appear within the Student Check-In Status view and are clearly identified as Self Reported, helping staff distinguish between statuses submitted by students and those entered by school personnel. This enhancement provides districts with an additional method for gathering situational awareness during active safety events while remaining exclusive to the Community App experience.

See System Preferences, Safety Management Setup, Safety Management (Admin), Safety Management (Teacher), and Safety Management in the Mobile App for Students for more information.

System Preferences

FOCUS-57192- Scheduled Jobs: IIS Nightly Immunization Import

Adds a new IIS Nightly Immunization Import scheduled job that automatically imports immunization records from a configured Immunization Information System (IIS) provider and updates student immunization data within Focus.

The job supports IIS integrations for both Ohio (ODH Impact SIIS) and Florida (Florida SHOTS). During execution, the job processes currently active students in the current school year and attempts to match them with records in the configured IIS provider. Successfully matched students have their immunization records updated automatically, while unmatched or ambiguous records are included in a review report for staff follow-up.

A new Days Between Re-Checks setting allows districts to control how frequently successfully imported students are re-evaluated. By default, students with successful imports are not reprocessed for seven days, while students whose records cannot be matched continue to be reviewed on subsequent runs until resolved.

See Scheduled Jobs for more information.

FOCUS-56780- New Online Applications Page Skip Notification

Enhances the New Online Applications experience by notifying applicants when a page is automatically skipped because all fields on that page are hidden by edit rules.

When application logic determines that a page contains no visible fields, the application continues to skip the page automatically as before. A notification is now displayed identifying the skipped page, providing applicants with clear feedback about why they were advanced to the next section of the application.

FOCUS-56693- Senior Attendance Restriction Controls

Adds a new Last Day for Seniors attendance preference that allows districts to stop attendance processing for Grade 12 students after a designated date without withdrawing them from the system.

Once the configured date has passed, seniors are automatically excluded from attendance-related workflows, including teacher attendance rosters, Add Attendance, attendance alerts, attendance summaries, Late Check In/Out, and other attendance tracking processes. This allows districts to continue supporting grading, integrations, and end-of-year workflows for active seniors without requiring attendance to be taken after their final instructional day.

A new student-level field, Ignore Grade 12 Enrollment Restriction, allows districts to exempt individual seniors from the restriction when attendance tracking must continue beyond the configured senior end date. This provides flexibility for special programs, extended enrollment scenarios, or other district-specific needs.

See System Preferences > Attendance for more information.

System Preferences

FOCUS-56560- Online Enrollments: Show Process Button for Denied Forms

Enhances the New Online Applications workflow by allowing previously denied applications and forms to be processed without first changing their status through a separate workflow. Denied applications and forms now remain available for processing and approval within Students > Online Enrollments, allowing staff to review, process, and approve submissions directly from the enrollment management screens. This streamlines application processing by reducing the steps required to reconsider and approve previously denied submissions while maintaining existing approval workflows.

See New Application Editor and Online Enrollments for Students for more information.

FOCUS-41550- Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC) Reporting Interface (PA)

Adds a new Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC) reporting interface for Pennsylvania districts to support annual federal CRDC reporting requirements. The report provides districts with tools to review, validate, and export the student and school data required for CRDC submissions.

The interface includes student verification extracts, school-level reporting extracts, setup guidance, and export options for both submission-ready files and human-readable validation reports. A Use Field Titles option is available to generate review-friendly output with descriptive column headers and clearly marked DO NOT TRANSMIT file names for validation purposes.

The report requires NCES School and LEA identifiers to be configured and works in conjunction with Pennsylvania State Reporting. Generated files are intended for district review and external submission through the federal CRDC reporting process.

See Civil Rights Data Collection for more information.

FOCUS-58038- SSS Goals & Objectives Progress Monitoring Validation

Updates the Frequency of Progress Monitoring field within the Goals & Objectives step of IEP and EP events to require an explicit user selection.

Previously, the field defaulted to Daily, which could result in unintended values being saved without user review. The field now defaults to Select One, requiring users to choose the appropriate progress monitoring frequency before the event can be saved or completed.

This enhancement applies to supported IEP and EP workflows and helps ensure progress monitoring settings are intentionally selected and accurately documented.

FOCUS-57765- SSS PMP Closed Interventions

Enhances Academic and Behavior PMP progress monitoring by preventing users from entering new graph data points after an intervention has ended.

Previously, users could continue adding data points in the Graph step even after the intervention end date had passed. With this update, data entry is restricted once the intervention end date is reached, helping ensure progress monitoring data remains aligned with the defined intervention period and preventing unintended updates to completed interventions.

FOCUS-56379- SSS Schedule of Services LRE Configuration Enhancements

Enhances the Schedule of Services workflow by adding optional support for Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) fields directly within service planning and progress monitoring processes.

A new LRE Consideration Fields option in SSS > General > Schedule of Services allows districts to include and configure the following fields:

  • Least Restrictive Environment
  • Alternatives Considered
  • Justification for Placement

When enabled, these fields are available within Schedule of Services workflows and can use either the system-provided LRE values or district-defined custom lists. The selected values are included in Schedule of Services documentation and integrate with applicable IEP and amended IEP workflows.

When disabled, Schedule of Services continues to function using the existing workflow with no changes to current behavior. This enhancement provides districts with additional flexibility for documenting placement decisions and LRE considerations while supporting both standard and customized service planning processes.

See General > Setting Schedule of Services Preferences for more information.
