FOCUS-58808- Purchasing/Accounts Payable | Implement Receiving Audit Trail

Receive Orders now includes a detailed audit trail for every receiving action on a purchase order line item.

• Each line item on the Receive Orders screen now shows an expandable history of every receiving, unreceiving, and return action, including the date, the staff member who performed it, the quantity, and the amount.
• Existing receiving records were automatically populated into this new history so past activity is visible alongside new entries.
• This gives Purchasing/Accounts Payable staff a clear, line-by-line record of who received or returned items and when, improving accountability and troubleshooting for purchase orders.

FOCUS-59890 - Purchasing/Accounts Payable | Punchout Transaction Log

Punchout purchase orders now include a detailed transaction log for troubleshooting and auditing.

• A new "Punchout Transaction Log" screen (with a separate version for Internal Purchase Requests/Orders) shows a reverse-chronological history of every message exchanged with a punchout vendor for a purchase order, including the timestamp, direction, message type, vendor, related PO and requisition numbers, the user who initiated the action, and the outcome (Success, Failure, Timeout, or Pending).
• Users can view the full details of each transaction, including the raw data sent or received, any error messages, and HTTP status information.
• The log can be filtered to help locate specific transactions or purchase orders.
• Access to the new log is controlled by a new profile permission, so administrators can grant or restrict this view for standard and internal purchasing separately.

FOCUS-53221 - Accounts Receivable | Add 1098-T Setting for Allocation Due Date on Upcoming Term Qualification

1098-T reporting now offers more flexibility for including amounts from the upcoming academic period.

• The previous "Includes amounts for the upcoming academic period" checkbox has been replaced with a selection option, allowing schools to choose between using the Schedule Start Date or the Invoice Allocation Due Date to determine qualification for the upcoming year.
• Districts that previously had the upcoming-period checkbox enabled will now have their setting automatically mapped to use the Schedule Start Date, preserving prior behavior.
• This affects staff configuring 1098-T settings and reporting for tax form generation.

FOCUS-59982 - Time & Attendance | Tasks Management

This enhancement introduces comprehensive Task Management capabilities to the Time & Attendance (T&A) system. District administrators can now define and assign tasks to employees, enforce task-based time tracking at the timeclock, and manage task dispatches across the district or managed teams from a central interface.

1. New "Assigned Tasks" Dispatch Page

• Added a dedicated Assigned Tasks view under Human Resources → Time & Attendance Tasks.

2. Schedule Setup: "Tasks" Configuration

• Introduced a Tasks option in Primary Action for T&A Schedule Setup
• When enabled for a schedule, employees on that schedule operate in Task-Limited Mode on the timeclock:
  • The timeclock replaces standard punch-in/out buttons with today's assigned tasks list.
  • If an employee has no active task assignments for the current day, the system automatically falls back to standard punch buttons.

3. Timeclock Task Tracking & Auto-Finalization

• Employees can begin and end assigned tasks directly from the timeclock screen.
• Real-time status lifecycle tracking (Incomplete → Active → Finalized).
  • Automated Finalization: If a task exceeds its configured task_missed_threshold, the system automatically finalizes the task assignment via background automated routines.

4. Task Scheduling, Recurrence & Calendar Logic

• Supports single and daily-recurring tasks spanning an entire school year.
• Automatically aligns with district/school calendars, skipping holidays and non-work days when generating assignments.
• Updating a task’s scheduled dates automatically reschedules or soft-deletes incomplete future assignments outside the new range.
• Protects historical clock records by preventing deletion of any task that already has recorded clock-in time.

5. CSV Bulk Import & Rollback Handling

• Supports bulk CSV imports for task definitions and assignments.
• Includes per-row validation and transaction savepoint rollbacks to isolate errors without invalidating the entire batch, alongside full rollback protection for system-level errors.

FOCUS-59366 - Applicant Tracking |  New "Show All" Setting in Job Posting Setup

New "Show All" option added to Applicant Tracking based on posting status

• Job Posting Setup now includes a "Show All" setting (Null, Finalized, or Status) on the Miscellaneous tab, controlling how the Postings and Applicants tabs filter results.
• When set to "Status," a "Show All" checkbox appears on the Postings and Applicants tabs, letting staff toggle whether filled and denied postings are included in the list.
• When set to "Finalized," the existing behavior is preserved, showing the "Show All" option only to users with finalize permission.
• The Status column on the Postings tab now correctly displays "Pending" and "Denied" values, matching the Approval Status column for consistent reporting.

FOCUS-58615 - Maintenance By Fiscal Year: Pay Schedules Print Button

Added a Print button to the Pay Schedule tab under Maintenance by Fiscal Year, allowing users to generate a printable payroll calendar document.

• The printout includes a district calendar page listing holidays and special dates for the selected fiscal year.
• A quick-reference page summarizes run numbers with pay dates and close dates.
• For each pay schedule, a detail page shows period dates, close dates, pay dates, work days, hold-back calculations, and sick leave accrual figures.
• A monthly calendar page is also generated for each pay schedule, marking pay dates, holidays, and non-work days.

FOCUS-58621 - Data Table Cloud Imports

Enhances data table imports by adding support for importing files directly from Google Drive and OneDrive.

Users can now import data into supported tables using files stored in Google Drive, OneDrive, or a local CSV file. This capability is available throughout the system for data tables that support imports, providing additional flexibility while maintaining the existing column mapping and import workflow.

FOCUS-59775 - API - Add option to select School/Student/User UUID column

Three new configuration options are now available in Third Party Systems, allowing administrators to select which identifier is used as the source ID for schools, students, and staff in API responses. Each can be set independently to the record's UUID, Focus ID, or local identifier (school number for schools; local ID for students and staff), and the selected identifier applies across all related API routes for that dialect. The default behavior uses UUID, so existing configurations remain unchanged unless updated. Additionally, grade level information is now included in course and section API responses, reflecting the grade levels configured in the Master Schedule.

FOCUS-60531 - New "Don't assign +/- grades in Grade Averaging" System Preference

A new system preference, "Don't assign +/- grades in Grade Averaging," is now available in School Setup under Grading preferences. When enabled, grades calculated through Grade Averaging—including EOC Pull Grades into Semester and Course History—will be assigned only to non-plus/minus titles from the grading scale, mapping calculated values to the nearest whole letter grade. The grading scale itself is not modified, so plus and minus grades remain available for manual entry and all other existing uses. If the preference is not enabled, existing behavior is unchanged.

FOCUS-57817 - TEAMS sync in Gradebook

Gradebook now supports integration with Microsoft Teams, allowing teachers to import categories, assignments, and student grades from a linked Teams class into the Focus Gradebook. Once Microsoft Teams is configured in Third Party Systems and the Show Microsoft Teams permission is enabled, teachers can link their Microsoft account through Gradebook Settings or My Preferences and associate a Teams class with a Focus class section.

After a class is linked, the new Microsoft Teams option in Gradebook provides a preview of the information available to import before the sync is completed. Categories are created as needed, and assignments, point values, descriptions, and grades are updated from Teams. Subsequent syncs update Focus to reflect applicable changes made in Teams. The integration is one-way from Microsoft Teams to Focus; changes made only in Focus are not sent to Teams and may be overwritten during a later sync. Existing Google Classroom integration functionality remains unchanged.

FOCUS-60839 - Parent Absence Request: Add Student ID

The Attendance Parent Absence Requests page now includes a Student ID column displayed next to the student name, making it easier to identify students when reviewing submitted absence requests.

FOCUS-60816 - Parent Absence Requests > Multiple Updates

Parent Absence Requests includes several updates. A new system preference, "Restrict Parent Absence Requests to Unexcused Absences/Tardies Only," is now available under Attendance preferences. When enabled, parents are limited to the unexcused absences and tardies table and may only submit excuse notes for those records; the full absence request form is not available. The button label in the Attendance view updates to "Submit Excuse Note" when this preference is active, and if no unexcused absences or tardies remain, a message notifies the parent that no requests are needed at that time. This preference is evaluated per school, so parents with students enrolled at multiple schools will see the appropriate experience for each student. Note that when this preference is enabled, submitted excuse notes will not appear in the My Absence Requests table in the parent portal. Staff reviewing requests can now edit the Request Type, Start Time, and End Time directly in the Review modal before approving, allowing corrections when a parent's original submission does not match the actual attendance record. Staff may also approve a Late Arrival or Early Dismissal request using a new option to approve without updating attendance, which allows the corresponding Late Check In or Early Release record to govern the attendance update instead. Additionally, parents are now required to enter a time when submitting a Late Arrival or Leave Early request; the form cannot be submitted without a time value for those request types.

FOCUS-60671 - API - GET /users - Add Preferred Name option

Third Party System dialect configurations now include a Use Preferred Names option. When enabled, the system sends a student's preferred first, middle, and last names through the integration instead of their standard names. If the option is not enabled, existing name behavior is unchanged.

FOCUS-60634 - Assessment Studio: Add Desmos Scientific and Four Function Calculators

Assessment Studio assessments now support the Desmos Scientific Calculator and Desmos Four Function Calculator as tool options in assessment configuration, assignments. Both calculators are available in the Nimbus and Cambium players and load only when a student opens them.

FOCUS-60820 - Test History: Add Test Level to Summary View

The Test History Summary table now includes a Test Level column, allowing a student's test level to be displayed separately from their grade level. This makes it easier to identify cases where a student was tested at a level different from their enrolled grade.

FOCUS-60817 - Absence Summary: Resolves Parent Absence Requests Not Showing

The View Details button for processed Parent Absence Requests now displays correctly in the Student Summary attendance view for users who have permission to view Parent Absence Requests but do not have review access.

Menu options within the Student Information section now display their full text without truncation. Users can also resize the menu panel horizontally to adjust its width as needed.

FOCUS-60724 - Gradebook: Allow Co-Teachers to Modify Weight by Categories

Co-teachers with modify permissions can now change the weight by categories setting in Gradebook Configuration. Co-teachers with read-only permissions continue to see this setting as unavailable.

FOCUS-60773 - New Online Application: Exclude Graduated Students From Available Applications

New Online Applications and forms published to a student’s school are no longer displayed as available in the Parent Portal when the student has a withdrawal record with a Graduated drop code. This prevents applications intended for currently eligible students from being presented for students who have already graduated.

FOCUS-59886 - HB1279 - Missed Related Services via Caseload & Services

The SSS Caseload & Services module now supports Missed Related Services compliance functionality for Florida (HB 1279, effective July 1, 2026). When enabled in SSS General > Caseload & Services configuration, the Add Service popup includes new "Provider unavailable" and "This is a make up service" checkboxes, a required "Is this a related service?" Yes/No field, and a required Make Up Plan text field that appears when provider or student unavailability is indicated and the service is marked as a related service. When a missed related service is saved, the system can automatically notify the student's primary contacts using a configurable communication template; automatic sending can be enabled or disabled in the configuration. A default HB 1279 Missed Related Services Notification communication template is created automatically the first time the feature is enabled, if no template for this location already exists. The Service History tab now displays the related service indicator, absence reason, and make up plan for recorded services. SSS Caseload & Services is also available as an Attach to Tab option in the Communication module, and Caseload & Services merge fields are available in the communication template field picker. This feature is available for Florida and requires enabling the setting in SSS General > Caseload & Services configuration.

FOCUS-58904 - SSS: Enable Ctrl+Space shortcut from within SSS events

The Ctrl+Space keyboard shortcut to open the Focus menu now works when focus is inside an SSS event iframe, in addition to the rest of the application where it was already supported.

FOCUS-58950 - Add Required checkboxes to SSS Schedule of Services Setup

Administrators can now mark individual fields as required on each service tab in Schedule of Services Setup (Instructional Services, Related Services, Supplementary Aids and Services, and Support Services for School Personnel). When a field is marked required, a red asterisk appears next to that field in the Add or Edit service modal on the Schedule of Services entry screen, and saving is prevented until all required visible fields are populated. Fields that are not enabled are exempt from this validation. If a required field reveals an additional input when a specific option is selected, that secondary field is also required. Selecting the option indicating the team has determined a service is not appropriate disables and exempts all remaining fields from required validation, allowing the record to be saved. Additionally, saving is now prevented when multiple schedule entries share the same service and have overlapping date ranges. This feature is available in Florida and requires configuration in Schedule of Services Setup.

FSS-101112 - Highlight IEP/Evaluation End Date in red within 14 days of due date (SSS Caseload & Services)

Caseload & Services now visually flags IEP and Evaluation end dates that are due soon or overdue.

• In SSS > Caseload & Services, IEP/EP and Evaluation (ETR) end dates are highlighted in red starting 14 days before they are due.
• The highlight remains in place if the date becomes past due, and clears automatically once a new, later date is entered.
