FOCUS-58519- Setup > Rollover | Add an Undo Roll Button to the Rolled Request Tab

Undo Purchase Order Rollover

A new Undo Roll button has been added to the Rolled Request tab under ERP > Setup > Rollover > Purchase Orders. This allows users to reverse previously rolled purchase orders and restore them to their original fiscal year when a rollover was performed in error or is no longer needed.

  • Select one or more rolled purchase orders on the Rolled Request tab
  • Click the Undo Roll button and confirm the action
  • The system removes the rollover journal entries from the target fiscal year and resets the PO back to the prior fiscal year
  • If non-rollover journal activity exists against the PO in the target fiscal year, the undo operation is blocked to prevent data loss
  • Users must have the appropriate rollover permissions to perform the undo
  • A confirmation prompt appears before any changes are made
  • Selecting no checkboxes displays a validation alert

See Purchase Orders (Setup > Rollover) for more details.

FOCUS-58471- Budgeting/General Ledger | Expenditure Report Budget Types Enhancement

Expenditure/Revenue Report: Expand Budget by Type

A new "Expand Budget by Type" toggle has been added to the Expenditure/Revenue Report. When enabled, the existing "Budgeted YTD" total is broken down into four sub-columns showing how each budget source contributes to the overall amount:

  • Budgeted - Adopted - Official and unofficial adopted budget totals (both legacy import and Focus-native budget planning workflows)
  • Budgeted - Amended - Budget amendments and revisions
  • Budgeted - Rolled Budget - Rolled-over budget amounts from prior fiscal year
  • Budgeted - Rolled PO - Rolled-over purchase order budget encumbrances
  • The toggle appears after the "Non-Discretionary" checkbox on the report options bar.
  • When checked, the four breakdown columns appear to the right of the Budgeted YTD column. Budgeted YTD and all Balance formulas remain unchanged.
  • Each breakdown column supports drilldown - click any value to see the underlying journal entries filtered to that specific budget source.
  • Page totals and grand totals include the breakdown columns when the toggle is active.
  • CSV export respects the toggle state - breakdown columns are included only when the toggle is checked.
  • When the toggle is off, the report behaves identically to previous versions with no extra columns in the table or exports.
  • Supports all three category types: Expenditure, Revenue, and Internal.

See Budgeting/General Ledger > Expenditure/Revenue Report > Generating the Expenditure/Revenue Report for more information.

FOCUS-58438- Budgeting/General Ledger | Allow Importing Combined Manual Journal Files

Budgeting/General Ledger | Allow Importing Combined Manual Journal Files

Users can now import a single CSV file containing both expense and revenue records into a Manual Journal.

  • One file, both record types - Prepare a single CSV containing expense and revenue lines. Each row must be marked with its budget type (expense or revenue).
  • Automatic filtering on import - When importing into the Expense section, the system automatically filters out any revenue rows and imports only expense records. The same applies in reverse for the Revenue section.
  • No changes to existing workflow - The import button, CSV mapping, and journal creation process remain the same. The only difference is that a combined file is now accepted without errors.
  • Works for both Manual Journals and Internal Account Manual Journals - The enhancement applies to both journal types.

See Budgeting/General Ledger > Manual Journals > Importing Expense and Revenue Journal Lines for more information.

FOCUS-58330- Transportation | Adding Billable Time to Unofficial Invoices

Transportation - Billable Time Added to Unofficial Invoice for Bus Requests

The unofficial invoice for Bus Request, Internal Bus Request, and Outside Bus Request now includes billable time tracking on completed requests.

  • The "Time" column under Locations has been renamed to "Scheduled Time" and displays both before and after completion.
  • A new "Billable Time" field now appears between "Date" and "Total Mileage" on completed requests.
  • Billable Time is calculated from the total hours in the completed request's "Finalized Info" section, using the same driver times that drive the "Final Cost."

These changes apply only to the unofficial invoice. The official invoice retains the original "Time" label and does not display "Billable Time."

FOCUS-57608 - Accounts Payable | New Profile Permission for Editing Approved P-Card Allocations

Accounts Payable | New Profile Permission for Editing Approved P-Card Allocations

A new Edit Approved P-Card Allocations permission has been added to both District and Internal Purchasing profiles. This separates the ability to edit allocations on approved P-Card requests from the broader Edit Approved POs permission, giving administrators more granular control over who can modify approved P-Card accounting strips.

  • The new permission is located under ERP → Setup → Profiles → Permissions → Accounts Payable → Purchasing → Purchase Requests/Orders (and the equivalent Internal Purchase Requests/Orders section).
  • When Edit Approved P-Card Allocations is enabled, users can edit allocation/accounting strip fields on approved P-Card requests — even if Edit Approved POs is disabled.
  • When Edit Approved P-Card Allocations is disabled, approved P-Card allocation fields remain locked/read-only — even if Edit Approved POs is enabled.
  • Non-allocation fields (Vendor, Description, etc.) on approved P-Card requests are not affected by this permission and follow existing rules.
  • Editing of approved non-P-Card POs and change orders continues to be controlled solely by the existing Edit Approved POs permission — no change in behavior there.
  • For Internal Accounts, existing linked allocations from linked requests remain read-only regardless of permission settings. The new permission controls the ability to add new allocation lines to approved Internal P-Card requests.
  • During upgrade, the new permission defaults to match each profile's current Edit Approved POs setting, so existing behavior is preserved until an administrator explicitly changes it.

See Setup > Profiles > Permissions Explained > Menu > Admin > Purchasing/Accounts Payable, Purchasing/Accounts Payable > Purchasing Requests/Orders > Approval History, and Internal Purchasing/Accounts Payable > Internal Purchasing Requests/Orders > Approval History for more information.

FOCUS-56980- Transportation | Driver Pool Sync by Position Code

Driver Pool Sync by Position Code

Administrators can now configure HR position codes under Transportation Setup > Misc to automatically manage the Bus Drivers and Bus Driver Aides lists. Once position codes are selected, the system will:

  • Automatically add employees in those positions to the Bus Drivers or Bus Driver Aides tabs.
  • Filter out employees whose positions have ended, so only currently active drivers and aides appear.
  • Keep dropdowns current - the driver/aide selections on Field Trip Requests now reflect only active personnel.
  • Show Inactive The Bus Driver and Bus Driver Aides tabs have a check box title Show Inactive. When enabled the users with an inactive status are visible.

Existing pool and priority assignments are preserved during sync, and admins retain full control over pool assignments. New hires in the designated positions will appear automatically without manual entry.

See Transportation > Setup > Bus Drivers, Bus Driver Aides, and Misc, Transportation > Bus Request > Bus Drivers, Transportation > Internal Bus Request > Bus Drivers, and Transportation > Outside Bus Request > Bus Drivers for more information.

FOCUS-56891 - Scheduled Jobs (Billing) | Add Option on Update Student (User) Financial Data Jobs to Format Names Last, First Middle on Reports

Scheduled Jobs (Billing) | Name Format Option — Last, First Middle on Reports

A new configuration option has been added to the Update Student Financial Data and Update User Financial Data scheduled jobs. When enabled, student/customer names will be formatted as Last Name, First Name Middle Name across all applicable billing and finance reports.

  • A new checkbox is available when editing each scheduled job under SIS > Setup > Scheduled Jobs > Update Student Financial Data (and Update User Financial Data).
  • When the checkbox is enabled and the job is run, all names in the affected reports will display in Last, First Middle order instead of the default First Last format.
  • When the checkbox is disabled (or not yet saved), names continue to display in the existing First Last format — no change in behavior.

The name formatting applies to the following reports:

  • Printed Invoices
  • Invoice Report (General & Detailed)
  • Receipt Report (General & Detailed)
  • Receivables Report
  • Funding Source Report
  • Product List Inventory → Amount Sold Drilldown
  • Detailed Product List Inventory
  • Cashout Report Printout

See Setup > Scheduled Jobs > Built-In Scheduled Jobs Explained for more information.

FOCUS-56863- Fixed Assets | Last Inventoried Date for New Assets

Fixed Assets | Last Inventoried Date for New Assets

PO-received assets are now automatically included in inventory once they reach their final facility -- no manual action required.

  • Immediate sweep (inventory already open) - When a PO-received asset is transferred and received at its final facility, the system checks for an open inventory at that facility. If one exists, the asset is automatically swept in and assigned a "Last Inventoried" date equal to the transfer received date.
  • Deferred sweep (no inventory open) - If no inventory is open when the transfer arrives, the asset's location is recorded. When the next inventory is created at that facility, the system automatically picks up the asset and includes it -- no manual entry needed.
  • Accurate inventory counts - New assets no longer appear as "not inventoried," giving staff a true picture of inventory completion percentage.
  • Works with standard transfer workflow - The sweep triggers through the existing transfer receive process. Assets received at a delivery facility and then transferred to their final facility are handled correctly.
  • PO-linked assets only - The automatic sweep applies only to assets originating from a purchase order. Manually created assets are not affected.

See Fixed Assets > Manage Assets > Existing Assets for more information.

FOCUS-56289- Approval Flow | Action History Now Available on All Approval Forms

Approval Flow | Action History Now Available on All Approval Forms

A new History table has been added to every approval workflow form across the Finance and SIS modules. Each time a request is submitted, approved, denied, sent back to the originator, or cancelled, that action is now recorded and displayed directly on the form -- providing a visible, consistent audit trail of all approval activity.

The History table shows the date/time, employee name, and action taken for each step in the approval process.

Forms affected include:

  • Finance: Budget Amendment, Manual Journal, Accounts Payable Request, Accounts Receivable Receipts, Cashouts, Bids, Element Request, Position Change Request, Fixed Asset Transfer Request, Field Trip Request, Student Trip Request, Time Off, Warehouse Returns, Courier Requests, Custodial Requests, Employee Action Forms (EAF), ESS Employee Requests, and Applicant Tracking/Job Postings
  • SIS: Work Order Requests and SSS Caseload Services

Notes:

  • For forms without a per-request detail view (such as Asset Transfer and Time Off), history is accessed via a History button on each row, which opens a modal.
  • Existing EAF approval history has been migrated to the new unified history table, so prior records are preserved.
  • The underlying database tablegl_approval_action_historycan also be used for reporting purposes.

See Manual Journals, Internal Accounts Manual Journals, Budget Maintenance, Purchase Requests/Orders, Internal Purchase Requests/Orders, Transfer Requests, Element Requests, Cashouts, Employee Action Form, etc. for more details.

FOCUS-55498- Accounts Receivable | Integrate Receipts with POS

Accounts Receivable | Integrate Receipts with POS

The Receipts and Internal Account Receipts modules have been redesigned with a new POS-style workflow, enabling manual receipt creation directly within the Point of Sale interface -- including credit card payment support.

  • New Receipts & Internal Account Receipts screens - Feature a draft grid and a Current Receipt workflow, replacing the previous receipt entry experience.
  • Credit Card payment option - Users can now select Credit Card as a payment type when creating receipts, which triggers a credit card processing modal at the time of posting.
  • Full payment type support - Cash, Check, Credit Card, EFT, and Money Order are all available as payment types.
  • Revenue validation for Internal Account Receipts - The system validates that revenue receipts not tied to an invoice include a proper revenue credit allocation before allowing posting. If validation fails, the receipt is returned to the Receipts tab with the selected payment type preserved (e.g., Credit Card will not revert to Cash).
  • Legacy Receipts preserved - The original Receipts screens remain accessible as separate Legacy Receipts modules, ensuring backward compatibility during the transition.

See Account Receivable > Receipts, Accounts Receivable > Internal Account Receipts, Accounts Receivable > Legacy Receipts, and Accounts Receivable > Legacy Internal Account Receipts for more information.

FOCUS-58694- Run Payroll | Add More Detail For Error 79

Run Payroll: Enhanced Detail for Error 79 Exceptions

We have upgraded Error 79 in the Run Payroll process to provide actionable details when a "change also" leave request fails to save.

  • The Update: Instead of a generic error message, the exception output now includes specific context directly in the log:
    • Employee Name: Formatted as a clickable link that opens the employee's profile in a new tab.
    • Leave Request Date: Formatted clearly asMM/DD/YYYY

FOCUS-58600- Employment Agreement Maintenance | Facilities Dropdown Now Permission-Driven

The facilities dropdown in Employment Agreement Maintenance has been updated to respect account strip permissions. Previously, the dropdown could display all facilities in the district. Now, it only shows the facilities assigned to the logged-in user's account strip, ensuring employees and staff can only select facilities they are authorized to access.

FOCUS-58454 - HR > Jobs > Supplements | Supplement Reinstatement

New Setting: Restrict Automatic Supplement Extensions on Reopened Positions

We have added a new configuration option to ensure supplement end dates remain intact when a job position is reopened (e.g., when an employee returns from FMLA leave).

  • The Goal: This provides districts with stricter control, ensuring that returning employees must formally re-apply for supplements rather than having those supplements automatically reactivated without review.
  • Setup Path: Go to ERP ➔ Setup ➔ Settings ➔ Miscellaneous.
    • “Preserve supplement end dates when a job position is reopened”
    • Configuration Toggle:
      • No (Default): Legacy behavior; supplement end dates are wiped when a position reopens, effectively clearing the restriction.
      • Yes: Supplement end dates are preserved, preventing automatic reinstatement and ensuring the old expiration date holds firm.
  • Behind the Scenes: System termination logic remains unchanged (end dates still cascade upon termination), and encumbrance recalculations will still queue normally in both modes.

See Setup > Settings > Misc tab > Misc section for more details.

FOCUS-58441 - PR > Print Check| Enhanced "VOID" Watermark Visibility on Printed Payroll Checks

Enhanced "VOID" Watermark Visibility on Printed Payroll Checks

We have updated the payroll check rendering engine to ensure printed voided checks are instantly recognizable.

  • The Improvement: The "VOID" overlay on PDF payroll checks has been redesigned to be much more prominent. It now features a larger, darker center watermark paired with a diagonal repeating grid of smaller "VOID" text covering the entire face of the check.
  • The Benefit: This guarantees that voided checks stand out clearly, even when printed on patterned or high-security check stock.

Path: ERP → Payroll → Print Checks

FOCUS-58378- Direct Deposit | HR Lock for Employee Self Service

A new "Lock" option has been added to the Direct Deposit screen, allowing HR administrators to prevent employees from modifying their direct deposit information through Employee Self Service (ESS). When the lock is enabled on an employee's active direct deposit record, the employee will see a read-only notice stating that direct deposit has been locked by Human Resources, and will be unable to edit existing entries, add new lines, or submit change requests. The lock can only be applied when exactly one active direct deposit record exists for the employee. Any previously submitted ESS requests can still be approved through the normal workflow. To use this feature, the "Lock" permission must be enabled under Setup > Profiles > Employee Fields.

FOCUS-57829- Applicant Tracking | Reference Email 'From' Customization

Reference Email "From" Customization for Applicant Tracking

A new "Reference Email 'From' Text" field has been added to ERP > Human Resources > Job Posting Setup > Miscellaneous. This field allows administrators to customize the sender name displayed on reference request emails.

  • When the field is populated, the configured value overrides the system default mail "from" name for all reference emails -- across both current and legacy application workflows.
  • When left blank, the system falls back to the default sender name, preserving backward compatibility.

See Job Posting Setup > Misc tab for additional information.

FOCUS-58961- Absence Summary: Improves Styling of Totals and Google Drive Icon

Enhances the Absence Summary page with several layout and formatting improvements to make attendance information easier to review.

Attendance totals are now displayed in the summary section above the collapsible details area, making key attendance metrics immediately visible. Additional spacing has been added between page sections to improve readability, and export icons have been aligned for a cleaner, more consistent appearance.

FOCUS-58893- School Choice: Add Preference to Automate Application ON/OFF Dates and Times

Adds configurable Application ON/OFF Date & Time controls to School Choice Setup > Customize Application, allowing districts to automatically open and close School Choice application windows without manual intervention.

Administrators can enable scheduled availability and define application opening and closing dates and times independently for each Choice, Magnet, and Special Assignment (SPA) application type and school year. When enabled, parent and student access to applications is automatically controlled based on the configured schedule, while administrative users retain access to manage application settings regardless of availability.

When an application is unavailable, parents and students receive a clear message indicating whether the application has been disabled, will open at a future date and time, or has already closed. If scheduling is not enabled, School Choice applications continue to operate using the existing availability behavior.

See School Choice Setup > Setting Preferences for more information.

School Choice Setup

FOCUS-58835- Teacher Portal School-Wide Student Search

Enhances the Teacher Portal by displaying the Search Entire School option when the corresponding system preference is enabled.

Teachers can now expand student searches beyond their assigned students by selecting the Search Entire School checkbox, allowing them to locate any active student within the school. The enhanced search continues to work alongside existing student group filters, giving teachers greater flexibility when searching for students from the portal.

See Teacher Portal > Find a Student for more information.

FOCUS-58829- School Choice: New Preference to Hide Cancel Button After Parent Accepts

Adds a new Hide the Cancel Button After a Parent Accepts the Assignment? preference to School Choice Setup > Customize Application, giving districts greater control over how parents manage accepted School Choice assignments.

When enabled, parents may cancel applications while they are in Pending Acceptance status. Once a parent accepts the assignment, the Cancel button is no longer displayed, preventing the accepted assignment from being cancelled through the Parent Portal. When disabled, the existing behavior is preserved, allowing parents to cancel both Pending Acceptance and Accepted applications (when parent cancellation is enabled). This preference is configured independently for each application type and school year.

See School Choice Setup > Setting Preferences for more information.

FOCUS-58820- Remove Duplicate Confirmation Email & Portal Alert from Online Enrollments

Improves New Online Enrollments by eliminating duplicate notifications when individual application change requests are processed.

Previously, accepting or denying an individual change request generated both a portal notification and an email. The workflow now creates only a portal notification, reducing duplicate communications for parents and applicants. Districts that wish to continue sending email notifications can do so by configuring status-based emails through Student Form Publishing, providing greater flexibility over how application updates are communicated.

FOCUS-58810- Online Enrollments: Disable Enroll Button after pressing

Improves the New Online Enrollments workflow by guiding users through the final enrollment process more clearly.

After a user clicks Enroll, the button is automatically disabled while the enrollment form is displayed, preventing duplicate clicks and directing the user to complete the remaining enrollment information. Once the required enrollment details have been entered, the Confirm Enrollment button becomes the primary action to finalize the student's enrollment.

FOCUS-58601- Scheduling: Configurable Exceptionalities for IEP Seat Counts (Florida)

Adds a new Exceptionalities for IEP Seats system preference under Setup > System Preferences > Scheduling for Florida districts, allowing districts to specify which primary exceptionalities should count toward IEP seat limits during scheduling.

Districts can select the exceptionality codes that should be included in IEP seat calculations. Students whose only primary exceptionality matches one of the selected codes are counted against a section's IEP seat limit, while students with non-selected exceptionalities or no exceptionalities continue to count only toward the section's regular seat capacity.

If no exceptionalities are selected, the system continues to use the existing IEP seat counting behavior, preserving current functionality until districts choose to configure the new preference.

See System Preferences > Scheduling for more information and Courses & Sections > Adding Sections for more information.

System Preferences

FOCUS-58599- Student Schedule: Adds Validation Error to Records with Empty Section

Improves the Student Schedule workflow by validating that a section is selected before schedule changes can be saved. The Student Schedule now displays a validation error when a course is entered without a corresponding section, preventing incomplete schedule records from being saved and providing immediate feedback so users can correct the issue before continuing.

FOCUS-58578- Community Mobile App Purchase & Pay

Expands Purchase & Pay support within the Community Mobile App, making billing features available to authorized users while continuing to respect existing profile permissions.

Users with Purchase & Pay access now see the feature within the mobile navigation. For parents and students, Purchase & Pay is also available from the student's menu, providing quick access to student billing information and payment features. Administrators and teachers with Purchase & Pay permissions can access the feature through the main navigation but do not see it within the student-specific menu.

See Using the Mobile App for Administrators, Using the Mobile App for Teachers, and Using the Mobile App for Parents/Students for more information.

FOCUS-58556- New Online Applications Auto-Save

Enhances New Online Applications by replacing the manual Save button with automatic saving throughout the application process. As applicants complete the form, changes are automatically saved whenever they finish editing a field, eliminating the need to manually save progress.

See New Application Editor and Online Enrollments for Students and New Application Editor and Online Applications for Users for more information.

FOCUS-58513- Seating Chart: Lunch Count Enhancement

Enhances Take Attendance > Seating Chart by adding support for Lunch Count entry for eligible homeroom classes.

Teachers can now enter and update lunch totals directly from both the Attendance List View and Seating Chart view, providing a consistent attendance-taking experience. Existing lunch count values are automatically populated, and validation ensures the total lunch counts match the number of eligible students marked present before attendance can be saved.

This enhancement is available for schools using Lunch Count Totals and configured homeroom classes, with lunch count information saved alongside attendance records regardless of which attendance view is used.

See Seating Charts (Teachers) > Taking Attendance for more information.

FOCUS-58508- New Online Enrollments Processing Enhancements

Introduces several workflow improvements to New Online Enrollments, streamlining application processing, status management, and form handling for district staff.

The enrollment process has been simplified with a consistent workflow for both new students and potential matches, guiding users through student matching, contact review, application verification, and enrollment in a single process.

Additional enhancements include:

  • A new Inactive for Parents option for applicable custom fields.
  • The Online Enrollments page now remembers the last tab a user visited.
  • Forms are no longer filtered by the applicant's school, allowing parents to complete forms without needing to re-enroll.
  • Status Label communication templates now correctly merge application data into approval emails.
  • Applications without an assigned school remain unavailable for processing until routed appropriately, while applications with an assigned school automatically direct staff to the correct school.
  • Forms that are Sent Back or Denied are now organized into their own tabs, making application status tracking easier.

See Fields > Select One and Select Multiple, New Application Editor and Online Enrollments for Students, and Applications & Forms (Parent/Student) for more information.

Fields

FOCUS-58496- Hall Pass Navigation and Workflow Enhancements

Enhances the Hall Pass module with improved navigation and workflow updates for administrators and teachers.

A new Arrivals & Departures button has been added to the Admin and Teacher portals, providing direct access to the Arrivals & Departures kiosk alongside the existing Classroom Kiosk. The Hall Pass Locations setup screen has also been improved by freezing the Category and Title columns, making it easier to manage locations while scrolling through configuration options.

Additionally, ending an active hall pass now keeps users on the Active Passes view instead of automatically redirecting them to the Inactive tab, allowing staff to continue managing active passes more efficiently.

See Hall Passes (Admin) and Hall Passes (Teacher) for more information.

Hall Passes

FOCUS-58493- Custom Fields: New Minimum Required Selections for Select Multiple

Enhances Custom Fields by adding support for a Minimum Required setting on Select Multiple fields and improving validation messaging.

When a Select Multiple field is marked as Required, administrators can now specify the minimum number of selections users must make before the record can be saved. If fewer than the required number of options are selected, the field is highlighted and a validation message indicates how many selections are required.

This update also refines required field tooltips. Validation tooltips are now displayed only after a user attempts to save an incomplete required field, reducing unnecessary prompts while maintaining clear guidance when validation errors occur.

See Fields, Custom Screen Setup, and Employee Fields for more information.

Fields

FOCUS-58474- Gradebook: Totals Tab Remove Extra Two Decimals in Percent When Rounding is set to Up or Down

Improves the Totals tab in the Gradebook by making overall grade percentages consistent with the selected rounding method.

When a gradebook is configured to Always Round Up or Always Round Down, the overall percentage is now displayed as a whole number rather than with two decimal places. This prevents the displayed percentage from suggesting a different letter grade than the rounded grade shown elsewhere in the Gradebook.

For gradebooks using Normal Rounding, the existing percentage display, including decimal places, is unchanged.

FOCUS-58170- QS Analytics: Add Folder Structure

Enhances District QS Analytics by introducing a folder and subfolder structure for organizing dashboards and reports.

The updated interface mirrors the organization available in District Reports, allowing administrators to create folders, organize dashboards into a hierarchical structure, and manage report locations more efficiently. Existing dashboards are automatically placed in the Top Level folder, and reports can be moved between folders as needed.

See District QS Analytics for more information.

FOCUS-58125- AzEDS Ed-Fi State ID Lookup (Arizona)

Adds a new Get Ed-Fi State ID button to Student Info > State Reporting for customers in Arizona.

The new button performs an Ed-Fi Identity search using the current student's information and displays both exact matches and potential matches returned by the Ed-Fi Identity service. This allows district staff to identify and select the appropriate State ID based on the student's associated schools and other identifying information before updating the student's record.

FOCUS-58007- Community Mobile App Student Linking Support

Enhances the Community Mobile App by adding support for parent account creation and student linking workflows directly within the mobile experience.

Parents can now access student linking functionality from within the app using a new Add a Student option, allowing them to connect additional students to their existing Parent Portal account without leaving the mobile app. The workflow supports both linking students who are already enrolled and adding new student connections through the standard Parent Portal process.

See Using the Mobile App for Parents/Students > Adding a Student for more information.

sandbox.focusschoolsoftware.c…me=light&mobile_app_version=

FOCUS-57946- Add Focus-to-Ed-Fi Data Validation and Comparison Display

Adds a new Ed-Fi Data Comparison tool that allows districts to compare data stored in Focus with the corresponding records currently published to the Ed-Fi Operational Data Store (ODS).

Users with the appropriate permissions can select an Ed-Fi resource and view a side-by-side comparison of Focus and Ed-Fi values. The comparison highlights matching data, mismatched values, records that exist only in Focus, and records that exist only in Ed-Fi, making it easier to identify synchronization issues.

The tool also displays key publishing information, including the last attempted publish, last successful publish, last verification, and request method when available. For records with discrepancies, users can initiate a Sync with Ed-Fi action to republish the selected data, helping streamline validation and troubleshooting of Ed-Fi integrations.

See Ed-Fi Data Comparison, Scheduled Jobs, and Profiles for more information.

FOCUS-59009- New Enrollment Fixes

FOCUS-57939 - Communication: Address Messages to Sections and Schools for Staff

Enhances the Communication module by adding new recipient selection options for both administrators and teachers.

Administrators can now send a message to all active students at one or more selected schools by switching the student selector to School mode. Teachers can similarly switch the recipient selector to Section mode to send a message to all students enrolled in one or more class sections.

Recipient lists are generated dynamically when the message is sent, ensuring communications are delivered to students who are actively enrolled or scheduled at that time. If the selected school year has not yet begun, recipients are determined based on students who are active on the first day of the school year. This enhancement simplifies mass communication while ensuring recipient lists remain accurate and up to date.

See Communication (Admin) > Composing Messages and Communication (Teachers) > Composing Messages for more information.

FOCUS-58623- Enable Parent E-signature from a Custom Screen Supplemental Step

Enhances Student Support Services (SSS) by adding parent electronic signature support to Custom Screen Supplemental forms.

SSS supplemental forms can now include parent signature fields, allowing authorized parents to review and electronically sign supplemental documentation through the Parent Portal. Once a supplemental form is marked Ready to Sign, parents receive a notification prompting them to complete any required signatures. When all required signatures have been collected, the notification is cleared, and staff can view the completed signature status before locking the event.

This enhancement extends the existing parent e-signature functionality to SSS supplemental forms while preserving the current signing workflow for other SSS events.

FOCUS-58716- Absence Summary: Hides Late Check-In and Early Release Cards from Post Sec. Schools

Improves the Absence Summary for Postsecondary schools by removing attendance metrics that are not applicable to Postsecondary attendance workflows.

The Late Check-In and Early Release summary cards are now hidden on the Absence Summary and Student Summary pages for Postsecondary schools, while continuing to display standard attendance metrics such as Absences, Tardies, Unexcused Absences, and Days Present. These values are also excluded from the printed Absence Summary for Postsecondary schools.

FOCUS-58201- Postsecondary: Gainful Employment Program Submittal Report

Expands the Gainful Employment reporting suite by adding a new Program Submittal tab to the Billing > Gainful Employment report.

Unlike the existing Student Submittal report, the Program Submittal report summarizes information at the program level, providing the data required for federal Gainful Employment reporting. The report includes program-specific information such as OPEID, CIP Code, Title IV Academic Weeks, Licensure Required, student enrollment counts, licensure outcomes, and other regulatory reporting metrics.

To support the report, new Gainful Employment fields have been added to Modify Programs, allowing districts to maintain additional program-level reporting information. The report includes active Gainful Employment-eligible programs with enrolled students, providing a centralized view of program data needed for federal compliance reporting.

See Billing > Gainful Employment > Viewing the Program Submittal Report for more information.

FOCUS-57882- CTE: Seating Chart Available for Period or Hourly Attendance Option

Improves attendance for Postsecondary districts by restoring access to Seating Chart attendance for teachers with traditional period-attendance sections.

Previously, enabling the Period or Hourly Attendance system preference hid the Seating Chart attendance option for all Postsecondary sections, including those using standard period attendance. The Seating Chart option is now displayed only for sections that use traditional period attendance and remains hidden for sections configured for hourly or scanner-based attendance.

This enhancement also updates Seating Chart navigation to reflect each teacher's assigned sections, ensuring teachers see the appropriate Seating Chart options based on the attendance methods used in their schedules.

See (Teachers) Take Attendance > Taking Attendance, (Teachers) Seating Charts > Taking Attendance, and (Teachers) Seating Charts (Postsecondary) for more information.

FOCUS-57759- IPEDS Enrollment Report: Certificate-Seeking Classification

Updates the IPEDS report to automatically classify students in grades 9-12 as non-certificate-seeking, aligning IPEDS reporting with Postsecondary reporting requirements.

When a student has an enrollment in grades 9-12 during the reporting period, the report now classifies the student as non-certificate-seeking based on the most recent enrollment within the reporting timeframe. Students enrolled outside of grades 9-12 continue to have their certificate-seeking status determined by their Placement information, preserving existing reporting behavior for Postsecondary students.

See Billing > IPEDS > Enrollment for more information.
