District QS Analytics

District QS Analytics is used to manage analytics dashboards created in Amazon QuickSight and made available in Focus. Administrators can organize dashboards into folders and subfolders, control which user profiles have access to each dashboard, and manage how dashboards are presented within the system.

Expand or collapse content Adding Details to the Top Level Folder

The Top Level folder serves as the root folder for all dashboards in District QS Analytics. Edit the Top Level folder to update its name or other folder settings used to organize dashboards.

1. In the Reports menu, click District QS Analytics.

2. The Top Level is selected by default.

3. Enter the Title of the folder, such as District Analytics or Reports.

4. Enter the UUID of the folder, such as 123e4567-e89b-12d3-a456-426614174000. The UUID is a unique identifier used to associate the folder with the appropriate analytics content.

5. Select the Published Schools from the pull-down to determine which schools can access the folder's dashboards and reports.

6. Select the Published Profiles from the pull-down to determine which profile users can access the folder's dashboards and reports.

7. If multiple folders have been created, you can select the correct folder from the Folder pull-down.

8. Enter the Description of the folder to provide additional details about the dashboards and reports it contains,  such as Contains student enrollment, attendance, and demographic dashboards.

9. Press the Enter/Return key to commit and save the line of data.

10. Click Run to generate the analytics report based on the selected criteria.

From here, you can view the report(s) and filter based on selected data, and more.

11. Click Back to Report List to view folders.

Expand or collapse content Adding a New Sub Folder to the Top Level

1. In the Reports menu, click District QS Analytics.

2. The Top Level folder is selected by default.

3. Click the green plus sign (+) to add a new sub folder.

4. Enter the name of the new folder and click OK.

5. Enter the Title of the folder, such as District Analytics or Reports.

6. Enter the UUID of the folder, such as 123e4567-e89b-12d3-a456-426614174000. The UUID is a unique identifier used to associate the folder with the appropriate analytics content.

7. Select the Published Schools from the pull-down to determine which schools can access the folder's dashboards and reports.

8. Select the Published Profiles from the pull-down to determine which profile users can access the folder's dashboards and reports.

9. If multiple folders have been created, you can select the correct folder from the Folder pull-down.

10. Enter the Description of the folder to provide additional details about the dashboards and reports it contains,  such as Contains student enrollment, attendance, and demographic dashboards.

11. Press the Enter/Return key to commit and save the line of data.

Expand or collapse content Adding a Sub Folder to a Sub Folder

1. In the Reports menu, click District QS Analytics.

2. Select the subfolder, then click the green plus sign (+).

3. Enter the name of the new sub folder and press OK.

4. Follow the steps described in Adding a New Sub Folder to add the Title, UUID, Published Schools, etc,

Expand or collapse content Renaming Sub Folders

1. In the Reports menu, click District QS Analytics.

2. Select the applicable sub folder.

You cannot edit the Top Level folder.

3. Click the Rename this folder icon to edit the name of the folder.

4. In the pop-up window, enter the new name of the folder and click OK.

Expand or collapse content Deleting Sub Folders

1. In the Reports menu, click District QS Analytics.

2. Select the applicable sub folder.

You cannot delete the Top Level folder.

3. Click the Delete this folder icon to delete the folder.

4. In the pop-up window, click Yes to confirm the deletion.
