Audit Trail

The Grades Audit Trail allows users to review changes made within the Gradebook, including updates to Gradebook Settings, Categories, Assignments, and student Grades, providing visibility into what was changed, who made the change, and when it occurred.

1. From the Grades menu, click Audit Trail.

2. Select the Editing User from the pull-down to run the report based on the user who made the edits to the Gradebook.

3. You also have the option to search by a time frame using the From Date and/or To Date fields. Note: You do not have to enter a time frame; however, it will help limit and pull data, which can be extensive.

4. Click Submit.

Settings

Select the Settings tab to view changes made to gradebook settings, including configuration and display options.

The report displays the Date, IP address, Editor, Table, Title, Value, Teacher, Section, Course, Course Number, School, Operation (such as Insert), and the Changes made. Each column provides specific details about the update, including when the change occurred, who made it, what was modified, and the context of the change within the Gradebook.

Click the Editor name to open User Info.

Click the Teacher name to open User Info.

Click Username to open User Info.

Click District Id to open School Info.

Categories

Select the Categories tab to view changes made to gradebook categories, including category creation, updates, and deletions, along with any adjustments to category settings or grading calculations.

The report displays the Date, IP address, Editor, Table, Marking Period, Section, Course, Course Number, Category, Operation (such as Insert), and the Changes that have occurred. It also provides visibility into the specific field values before and after each change, allowing users to clearly understand what was modified within the category setup or configuration.

Click the Editor name to open User Info.

Click the Category title to open Users > Gradebook (Teacher Programs) and view category details.

Click the Assignment Type Id to open Users > Gradebook (Teacher Programs) and view assignment details.

Assignments

Select the Assignments tab to view changes made to gradebook assignments, including creation, updates, deletions, and any modifications to assignment details such as points, due dates, categories, and linked sections or courses.

The Assignments tab displays the Date, IP address, Editor, Table, Category, Assignment, Sections, Courses, Course Numbers, Operation (such as Insert, Update, etc.), and the Changes made.

Click the Editor name to open User Info.

Click the Category title to open Users > Gradebook (Teacher Programs) and view category details.

Click the Assignment title to open Users > Gradebook (Teacher Programs) and view assignment details.

Click the Assignment Id to open Users > Gradebook (Teacher Programs) and view assignment details.

Click the Assignment Type Id to open Users > Gradebook (Teacher Programs) and view assignment details for students.

Grades

Select the Grades tab to view changes made to student grades, including updates to scores, grade values, and grading statuses, along with details on who made the change and when it occurred.

Desktop

The Grades tab displays the Date, IP address, Editor, Student, Assignment, Category, Section, Course, Course Number, Operation (such as Update, Insert, etc.), Changes made.

Click the Student name to open Student Info.

Click the Assignment title to open Users > Gradebook (Teacher Programs) and view assignment details.

Click the Category title to open Users > Gradebook (Teacher Programs) and view category details.
