The Student Summary screen displays key student data on one screen, including ESE, ELL, and 504 indicators, current enrollment/attendance details, custodial contacts, select demographic fields, current year grade summaries, test history, discipline graphs, published reports, and applicable ESE exceptionality details (for Florida districts). The Student Summary respects the user's permissions, e.g. if the user does not have view permissions to Test History, the Test History section of the screen does not display.
In Users > Profiles, ensure the appropriate profiles have the View permission enabled for the Student Summary. All administrator and teacher profiles that have the View permission to Student Info will have the View permission enabled for the Student Summary by default. For parents and student profiles, the View permission for Child Summary and My Summary must be manually enabled.
1. In the Students menu, select Student Summary.
2. On the Search Screen, enter search criteria to locate the student and click Search.
3. Click the student.
You can also access the Student Summary screen by clicking Summary at the top of the student's record in Student Info.
At the top-left corner of the screen, ESE, 504, and ELL indicators display, if applicable (ESE if the student has an active exceptionality, 504 if 504_eligible is Y, and ELL if the English Language Learner field is LP or LY). The next block displays an enrollment/attendance summary, including total full days possible, total full days attended, total full days absent, and enrollment dates. The next block(s) list the student's custodial contacts.
If a highlight color was enabled for a contact flag in Students > Address Fields > Contact Flags, contacts with that particular flag (e.g. Custody) will be highlighted in the selected color for emphasis. Contacts with more than one contact flag will display the highlight color with the highest priority as set in Students > Address Fields > Contact Flags.
4. Hover over the contact to view details in a tool-tip. Click the contact to view the contact information in Addresses & Contacts.
In the Demographics section, any student fields with "Visible on Student Summary" enabled in Students > Student Fields are displayed.
The Current Grades section displays a summary of the student's grades.
The Test History section displays the student's test history, along with trend graphs for tests taken multiple times. See Standardized Tests for more information on setting up test graphs.
The Discipline section displays discipline referral graphs for Action Days, Discipline Code, Location, Time, Weekday, and Month.
The Reports section displays any files that have been published to the Student Portal.
The ESE Exceptionalities section (Florida only) displays the ESE Exceptionalities logging field if the student has an exceptionality.
