See ERP > Setup > Profiles > Purchasing/Accounts Payable; Purchasing Requests/Orders > The General Section ; or Internal Purchase Requests/Orders > The General Section for more information.
FOCUS-52109- Accounts Payable | Purchase Order Improvement
Purchase Order Locking Logic
We have implemented a security enhancement to the approval workflow to protect the integrity of your financial allocations.
- Purchase Orders (POs) now undergo a system lock during the "Approve" or "Deny" actions.
- This prevents users from accidentally or intentionally deleting allocation lines during the processing phase if they do not have the specific permissions to modify records at that stage.

- Previously, this column could incorrectly display the applicant's name. This change ensures clear accountability and an accurate audit trail of who initiated the hiring offer.
FOCUS-54841- Applicant Tracking | Offer Improvement
Position Availability & Start Date Validation
We have updated the "Offer" workflow to intelligently recognize position vacancies based on specific calendar dates, preventing unnecessary system errors during the hiring process.
- The system now compares the Current User's End Date against the Applicant's Start Date when checking for available position units.
- Previously, if a position had only one unit and was occupied by an employee leaving today, the system would block an offer for a new hire starting tomorrow. The system now recognizes that the unit will be vacant by the applicant's start date, allowing the offer to proceed without error.
FOCUS-54706- HR > Reports > Fingerprints > Expiring
System enhancement for ERP > Human Resources > Fingerprints
This can be updated by going to ERP > Setup > Settings > Miscellaneous > Misc > Fingerprint Report Expiring Days Setting
- Defaults to 90 days
- Logic for the expiration date on the HR > Fingerprint report will be changed to use the new days set in the setting instead of a hard coded 90 days
- If the expiration date is before today, it shows as Expired
- If the expiration date is today through (number of days in the new setting), it shows the Days Remaining

See Run Payroll > Posting Checks and New Payroll > Did You Know? for additional information.
FOCUS-53757- HR > Position Control > Allocations | Percentage error not being received

A new scheduled job, Resend Email Verification, has been added to help automate follow-up emails for unverified student email addresses. The job becomes available when an email type is selected in System Preferences under Enrollment for Auto-Send Email Verification.
Administrators can configure the job to resend verification emails after a specified number of days if the email remains unverified. The job targets active students whose verification date is blank and whose original verification email was sent on or before the defined threshold. Emails are sent only to the designated student email fields configured in System Preferences, and duplicate emails are prevented when multiple email fields are enabled.

Portal alerts for Form Builder requests are now grouped and summarized when multiple approvals or denials occur. When more than three requests are approved or denied, a single summary alert displays the total count and links to the form's History tab. When three or fewer requests exist, individual alerts continue to display and link directly to each specific form request.
FOCUS-54459- School Choice: Honor 'Don't Cancel Alternate Choices' Preference Running Lottery with Accepted Records
This branch modifies lottery acceptance logic to properly honor the "Don't Cancel Alternate Choices" preference. When enabled, students retain their alternate applications instead of having them automatically canceled when accepted into another program.
FOCUS-54449- Automatic Course Request: Remove Period Attendance Timeframe dates
An improvement was made to the Automatic Course Request process to ensure course requests are evaluated correctly. Period Attendance timeframe dates are no longer applied to the request search logic, preventing valid requests from being unintentionally excluded.
FOCUS-54363- Attendance: Sub Rosters/Verification Sheets Rotation Day Enhancement
Verification Sheets and Sub Rosters now support filtering by rotation day or day-of-week schedules. Schools using rotating schedules can generate rosters for only the sections that meet on a specific rotation day, preventing unrelated sections from printing. This makes substitute rosters and verification sheets more accurate and aligned with the actual instructional schedule for the selected day.
See Verification Sheets/Sub Rosters for more details.
FOCUS-54227 - Search: Letter Grade Widget Usability Improvement
Previously, using More Search Options → Search required an extra step where users had to manually click the highlighted result before the search widget was added. With this update, selecting the Search Widget result now automatically adds the widget, streamlining the search flow and reducing unnecessary clicks.
FOCUS-53345- Add Approve Profiles to New Forms & Add All School Checkbox
This update improves profile-based access controls for New Online Applications. "Profiles Allowed to Assign" has been renamed to "Approve Profiles," clarifying its purpose and expanding flexibility in how districts manage form visibility and processing.
View Profiles determine which profiles can see form records in Students > Student Info > Applications & Forms. Approve Profiles control which profiles can process forms in Students > Online Enrollments and assign forms individually in Student Info > Applications & Forms. If Approve Profiles are left blank, all administrator profiles retain processing and assignment access by default.
An All Schools option has also been added to Online Enrollments for users with the appropriate permission, allowing applications to be viewed and managed across all schools rather than being limited to the currently selected school.
See New Application Editor and Online Enrollments for Students and New Application Editor and Online Applications for Users for more information.

These details can be provided by Focus to be populated within system preferences.
When an app link is configured, those links will display on the SMS view entire message page to guide users who do not yet have the app installed. This enhancement improves the SMS experience by streamlining access to full message content within the mobile app.
See System Preferences > Default School Preferences (only) > General tab for more information.
FOCUS-55010- Grade Simulation Calculation Excluded
The Grade Simulator now honors the Excluded setting on grading scales. Grades marked as Excluded will no longer affect GPA, credits, or quality points when entered in the simulator. This ensures accurate GPA calculations for courses or assignments that are intentionally excluded, such as pass/fail courses or special grading policies. All other grades continue to calculate averages, semester, and full-year grades in real time.
See Final Grades, GPA, & Class Rank > Previewing Grade Outcomes with the Grade Simulator (Admin), Course History (Admin) > Previewing Grade Outcomes with the Grade Simulator, Final Grades, GPA, & Class Rank > Previewing Grade Outcomes with the Grade Simulator (Teachers), Course History (Teachers) > Previewing Grade Outcomes with the Grade Simulator, and Grades (Parents/Students) > Previewing Grade Outcomes with the Grade Simulator for additional details.

FOCUS-54738- SSS: Evaluation Logic Preserved Across Multiple Locks
Evaluation event triggers now correctly create separate log entries when multiple Evaluation events are locked in succession. Previously, locking and re-locking events could overwrite an existing entry in the Evaluation Logging Field. This update ensures each event generates its own distinct log record, preserving a complete history in SIS.
FOCUS-54405- SSS: Progress Codes & Comments Printing Improvement
Progress monitoring output has been improved so that Progress Codes and Comments now display correctly for past progress periods within IEP Progress Report events. Previously missing information is now included, ensuring historical progress data prints consistently and completely across all applicable periods.

Form Builder headers now export correctly. Previously, selecting Export from a header did not generate any output.
FOCUS-53251- Translations: Extend 'unique' Translations Functionality
Goal and objective translations within the SSS module have been refined to ensure that printed documents use the correct language based on each student's Primary Language setting. The update removes unused translation records created by Auto Translate that are not associated with a student's configured language, improving data accuracy and performance. Existing translation records that match a student's language are preserved and flagged as unique to prevent unnecessary duplication in the Translations Editor.
FOCUS-52398- SSS Event Step Instances: Improved Handling of Drafts
SSS Events now display a visual draft indicator when a step contains unsaved draft data. A caution icon appears next to non-required steps that have a draft version, helping users easily identify incomplete work. If a user attempts to lock an event while a non-required step remains in draft status, a warning message will display to confirm that locking will discard the draft data.
FOCUS-54433- Postsecondary Option to Sync Schedule & Course History Dates
A new Postsecondary system preference, Sync Schedule and Course History Start and End Dates, has been added to give CTE schools the option to keep Schedule and Course History dates aligned. When enabled, updates to Schedule start and end dates will also update the corresponding Course History dates and Last Modified values for CTE schools. The setting is defaulted to off and does not apply to K-12 schools.
See System Preferences > Post Secondary tab for more information.

New support includes CASAS Goals 2 (Math and Reading), GED Math and Language Arts with minimum score thresholds, and mixed assessment combinations across approved test types. Program configuration now allows minimum score and optional level validations to be defined and enforced during evaluation.
The scheduled job logic has been updated to more accurately determine whether a student meets assessment requirements, properly assigning Passed Assessment or Met Basic Skills status based on program rules. A new Include Inactive Students option has also been added to the Basic Skills Scheduled Job configuration, allowing districts to control whether previously ended schedules are included in evaluation.
