FOCUS-55631 - Logging Fields: Required Columns Now Include Red Asterisk

Improves visibility of required fields within Logging Fields across the SIS and ERP systems. Columns configured as required now display a red asterisk, clearly indicating required inputs to users. This behavior is consistent throughout the user interface and New Online Applications.

FOCUS-55922- Accounts Payable | Punchout Update

Improved Vendor PunchOut Compatibility: We've updated how the system communicates with outside vendors during the PunchOut process. By switching to a more widely accepted data format (text/xml), we've resolved connection errors and ensured smoother integration with all Vendors.

FOCUS-55830- Transportation | Bus Column Widening

Improvement: Transportation Module: This update includes a layout adjustment to the Complete Bus Request screen. The "Bus Number" column width has been increased to accommodate longer identification strings, ensuring all data is fully displayed upon page load.

FOCUS-55829- Accounts Payable | Punchout Vendor Addition

New Feature: Purchase Order Punchout Integration: We've added a Purchase Order Punchout section to your Accounts Payable settings, streamlining the way you source items from external vendors. You can now configure specific vendor criteria to link purchase requests directly to authorized vendor websites. Districts can shop on a vendor's site and automatically pull their cart items back into your ERP system, eliminating manual data entry and reducing order errors. Navigate to ERP > Setup > Settings > Accounts Payable and locate the new Purchase Order Punchout section to begin adding vendor credentials.

See Settings > Account Payable > Purchase Order Punchout for more information.

FOCUS-55374- Accounts Payable | Addon Asset Update

Improvement: Fixed Asset Allocation Integrity: To maintain data accuracy in ERP > Purchase/Request Orders, the system now blocks inconsistent allocation updates on approved requests. If a change is made to a primary item's allocation that renders its associated "add-ons" irrelevant (such as switching from a Fixed Asset to a non-asset expense), an error pop-up will require a correction before saving.

See Purchase Requests/Orders > Pending Approval, Approval History; Internal Purchase Requests/Orders > Pending Approval, Approval History for more information.

FOCUS-55319- Transportation| SQL Error Fix

Fix: Improved Cache Management for JavaScript Assets

  • Description: Resolved an issue where browsers were caching and serving outdated versions of a specific JavaScript file (linked to FOCUS-54596 Merged).
  • Impact: We've implemented a "de-caching" mechanism (cache busting) to ensure the browser always fetches the most recent version of the script from the server whenever updates occur, preventing the use of stale code.

FOCUS-55248- Accounts Receivable | Receipt Report SQL Fix

Improvement: Receipt Report Stability: This update addresses a bug within ERP > Accounts Receivable > Receipt Report. We have corrected the validation logic for date range fields to ensure that the "Report Save" functionality works reliably without generating errors.

FOCUS-55088- Transportation | Complete Collection Error

Bug Fix: Trip Visibility and Permissions: The branch addresses a logic error that triggered edit restriction warnings when simply viewing a completed collection. This update restores read-only access for completed trips while maintaining necessary data-entry restrictions. Viewing functionality is restored, and edit restrictions continue to be enforced as intended.

FOCUS-54993- Setup | Element Validation For Internal Accounts

ERP > Setup > Settings > Internal Accounts Update: We've introduced three new multi-select settings to enforce data consistency across Internal Accounts. Districts can now mandate specific allocation categories for the following areas:

  • Required IA Invoices Allocation Categories
  • Required IA Purchasing/AP Allocation Categories
  • Required IA Product List Allocation Categories

Once a category is selected in these settings, users must include it in the corresponding transaction or list, or they will receive a validation error upon submission.

See Setup > Settings > Internal Accounts tab for more information.

FOCUS-54973- Transportation | Outside Billed Trip Calculation Issue

Improved Calculation Accuracy for Bus Requests: Outside bus requests now automatically calculate using the latest standard rates for Workers' Comp and Retirement. This system improvement ensures financial consistency across the ERP > Transportation module.

FOCUS-54906- Fixed Assets| Student missing from dropdown for Check out

Fixed Assets > Check Out Update: Fixed an issue where the Assigned Student drop-down menu was not correctly filtering students based on their enrolled school. When selecting a school, the "Assigned Student" field will now accurately display all students enrolled at that location, making it easier to assign and track assets.

FOCUS-54837- Fixed Assets | Mass Transfer Update

ERP > Fixed Assets > Mass Transfer Update: We've enhanced the Mass Transfer tool to support asset identification via Barcode or Serial Number.

  • New Fields: A new Identification Method dropdown allows you to toggle between Barcode and Serial Number, while the Asset Identification field captures the specific ID.
  • Import Requirement: To avoid a Value Required error during imports, the Identification Method must be mapped. If you are not using this column, map it to a blank column in your file to default the system to "Barcode."

See Manage Assets > Mass Transfer for more information.

FOCUS-54426- Fixed Asset | Last Inventoried Date Improvement

Improvement: Asset Inventory Locking: We have refined the save logic within ERP > Fixed Assets > Manage Assets > Current Asset. To ensure data consistency, the "Last Inventoried Date" has been excluded from standard screen save operations, preventing accidental overwrites while updating other asset information.

FOCUS-53265- Fixed Assets | Exclude From Assets Improvement

Update: Facility Delivery Validation (ERP > Settings > Facilities)

  • The Improvement: The system now cross-references the "Exclude from Assets" setting during Purchase Order creation. This ensures that assets are not accidentally assigned to locations marked for exclusion.
  • How it Works: If a user selects a restricted facility in the "Deliver To" dropdown, the system will block the submission and display a validation error.
    • Error Message: "Error: The selected 'Deliver To' facility is marked as 'Exclude from Assets.' Please select a valid facility or update the facility settings before submitting this PO."

See Settings > Facilities tab for more information.

FOCUS-49584- Setup | Cost Center Details Addition

Enhancement: Date-Driven Cost Center Fields: This enhancement introduces date-driven fields to the Cost Center element, allowing critical information to change over time without modifying the Cost Center's core start and end dates.

The values for fields such as Headed by, Title 1 indicator, Tier,Area, Area Maintenance Supervisor, RTE, and Reporting Level often change annually or over specific periods, even if the Cost Center itself remains constant (e.g., a school's name).

By giving these fields their own independent start and end dates, you can now:

  • Maintain accurate historical data for each Cost Center.
  • Generate reports that reflect the Cost Center's status (e.g., Title 1 status) at any specific point in time.

This ensures your reporting is always based on the correct organizational structure for the time period being analyzed.

See Profiles > Setup tab, Setup > Settings > Elements tab, and Setup > Settings > Reporting Levels tab for more details.

FOCUS-55670- Payroll Budget Planning | Fix Year Label YYYY-YY

Improved Data Identification for Budgeting: ERP > Budget > Payroll Budget Planning

To assist with more accurate fiscal planning, we have refined the year-range displays in the Budget module. When selecting payroll data sources, the system now explicitly labels the full fiscal year range (e.g., 2025-26, instead of just 2025). This subtle change helps authorized personnel quickly verify they are pulling from the correct historical or current year data sets without second-guessing the date range.

FOCUS-55689- Appl Track | Unapprove Applications

This system improvement to the portal alerts block corrects an issue where deleted job posting applicant entries were still showing as unprocessed.

FOCUS-55137- Human Resources | Applicant Tracking - New Job Posting Type

New Feature: Priority Hiring for School Closures: To better support staff transitions, administrators can now enable Preferential Transfers within ERP > Human Resources. This setting restricts specific job postings so that only employees from selected schools (such as those facing closures) are eligible to apply, ensuring they receive priority for new openings.

See Job Posting Setup > Miscellaneous and Applicant Tracking > Creating a Job Posting for more details.

FOCUS-54460- Overhaul Staff Job Allocation Generation

Staff Job Allocation Overhaul: We have redesigned the staff job allocation generation logic to address complex funding and position scenarios. This update corrects previous inaccuracies related to split-funded positions and mid-year job changes. The system now accurately calculates job allocation distributions regardless of how many funding sources or position transfers occur during the fiscal year, ensuring reliable data for payroll and budgeting.

In addition:

  • Added a SAVE button to HR > Employee > Jobs > Allocate button & Allocate in Position Control.
  • Added Validation rules for accounting.
  • Moved start and end date columns in staff job allocations table to the front.

See HR > Employee > Jobs; HR > Employee > Jobs > Details; Position Control > Positions; Position Control > Allocations > Adding Allocations; Settings > Miscellaneous > Misc for more information.

FOCUS-53622- SDPE | add functionality to reconcile orphaned clock ins

In Payroll > SDPE > Assign TA, users can now manage invalid clock-ins directly within the system. If any invalid timecards are detected, a warning message will appear. Clicking the warning will open a pop-up window listing all invalid timecards. From there, the district can update the position and/or special request, if applicable. Invalid timecards may also be approved, unapproved, or denied as needed.

See School/Department Payroll Entry > Assign Time & Attendance for more information.

FOCUS-55741- Payroll > Payroll Reports > Run Differences | Add Imputed Pay Type

Run Differences: Imputed Wage Selection: A new enhancement to the Run Differences payroll report adds Wage Type =Imputed to the available selection criteria. This allows districts to compare imputed income totals between two payroll runs, making it easier to identify and audit significant changes in taxable benefit amounts before finalizing payroll.

FOCUS-55685- ESS | "Leave Case" renamed "Extended Leave"

ESS "Extended Leave" Renaming: The ESS > Employee Requests > Leave Case request has been renamed to "Extended Leave" for better clarity. This update makes it easier for employees to identify the correct form for submitting long-term or specialized leave requests, ensuring a more user-friendly experience within the Employee Self-Service module.

See Settings > ESS, Employee Requests, and View ESS for more information.

FOCUS-55669 - Time and Attendance | Setting to Show Empty Timecard Periods

New setting - Display Empty periods in HR > Time and Attendance Settings.

  • "Never": behavior is as it is today - period shows only if employee has clocked in
  • "Only when leave is present": Will generate clock in periods only if there is leave for a clock in period and employee can clock in
  • "Always": Will generate an empty record for everybody that can clock in and hasn't

See Time & Attendance Setup > Settings tab and Scheduled Jobs for more information.

FOCUS-55637- HR > Deduction |"Calculated by Employment" Deductions Not Allocating Properly Across Jobs

Multi-Job Deduction Allocation Fix: Resolved an issue where deductions tied to the employee, and not the job, and the employee was paid on multiple jobs in the same run were being incorrectly allocated to a single job. The system now properly distributes these deductions across all applicable jobs based on the percentage of gross earnings each job contributed. This fix ensures that labor distributions and payroll exports to the General Ledger are balanced and accurate for multi-position staff.

FOCUS-55624- View ESS > Print Tax Forms | SSN Permission issues

SSN Masking Fix: Print Tax Forms: Resolved a security loophole on the View ESS > Print Tax Forms page where full SSNs were visible regardless of user permission settings. This page now correctly honors the granular SSN access controls for active and inactive employees. If a user does not have "Full SSN" access, the information will be masked, ensuring consistent data protection.

FOCUS-55089- Setup | Government Codes > Separation Reasons

See Government Codes > Separation Reason; HR > Leaves > Updating the Leaves Report for more information.

FOCUS-49068- Payroll > Deduction | Add (Life Ins) Coverage Min to Payroll Deductions

Payroll Deduction: Coverage Minimum (Floor): A new Coverage Min field has been added to the Payroll Deduction setup. Similar to the Coverage Max cap, this field allows districts to define a minimum threshold for insurance coverage. This ensures that when coverage is calculated based on a salary multiplier, the result will never drop below the specified minimum, providing a consistent "benefit floor" for all staff members.

See Deduction > Calculated By Job > Life Insurance for more information.

FOCUS-54804- Job > Supplements | Supplements with wildcard strips were not encumbering correctly

Supplement Wildcard Encumbrance Fix: Corrected an issue where employee supplements set to a wildcard account (based on employee allocations) were not encumbering correctly. The system now accurately identifies the target account strings and encumbers supplemental pay amounts accordingly.

FOCUS-55840- School Choice Reports: Implements Edit Permission for Status/End Date

Adds Status Date and End Date fields to School Choice Reports with new profile-based edit permissions. Users can view and modify these fields only when granted the appropriate permissions, providing more controlled management of application timelines directly within the report.

FOCUS-55834- Communication: Hide Inactive Sections for Class Announcements

Updates the Sections dropdown in Teacher Class Announcements to exclude inactive sections and align with the Compose Message student selection logic. Only active sections for the current school year are displayed.

FOCUS-55827- Search: Adds Course Number System Preference Check to Course History Widget

Updates the Course History search widget to respect the system preference "Allow extra characters on the course number." Searches now correctly return results for courses that exceed the standard course number length, ensuring students enrolled in extended course number formats are included in results.

FOCUS-55805- Profile Permissions: Adds View Virtual ID Badge for Student Profiles

Adds a new student profile permission, "View Virtual ID Badge," under My Information to control access to the Virtual ID Badge in the Community App. Students with the permission can view the badge, while those without it will not see the option. A migration enables this permission for all student profiles by default, and administrators can manage it through profile permissions.

See Profiles > Students (Menu) > My Information tab for more information.

FOCUS-55737- Communication: Preferred Delivery Time Not Cleared When Email Digest Options are all Disabled

Updates Parent Communication Settings to ensure the Preferred Delivery Time aligns with Email Digest selections. When all digest options are disabled, the delivery time is automatically cleared. When any digest option is enabled, a delivery time is required and the system will prevent saving until a valid time is selected, ensuring consistent and accurate configuration.

FOCUS-55717- Biliteracy Seal Calculations, CAISPLLA exam missing from CAI list

Updates the Florida Graduation Requirements Report to include the CAI SPLLA exam as a qualifying assessment for the Biliteracy Seal. Scores for this test are now properly recognized when evaluating student eligibility, ensuring accurate calculation of biliteracy requirements.

FOCUS-55688- Billing | Update User to 'System' for Audit Trail when Processing Deferral Payments

Enhancement: System Attribution for Deferral Updates: This update modifies the user display in Audit Trail > Schedule for deferral transactions. To accurately reflect that student record updates (such as those in the Sales tab) are system-generated upon finalization, the "Last Modified" user will now appear as 'System' instead of Last Name, First Name.

See Student Billing > Applying Payments to Outstanding Invoices; Audit Trail > Audit Trail Results > Schedule; ERP > Accounts Receivable > Point of Sale > Payment Types > Deferral (Funding Source) for more information.

FOCUS-55673- New Online App: Change Criteria for Edit Birthdate

Updates the "Edit Birthdate" functionality in the New Online Application to only display for students who are currently enrolled in the Applicants school and have no prior enrollment history at any other school. The permission has been renamed to "Edit Applicant Birthdate," and once a student has been enrolled outside of the Applicants school, the birthdate can no longer be modified through the portal.

See New Application Editor and Online Enrollments for Students for more information.

FOCUS-55671- Edit Rules & Workflow: New Alert Icons Sort Order Feature

Enhances Student and User Alert Icons by enforcing configured priority order from Edit Rules & Workflow. Icons now display in the defined priority sequence, ensuring consistent ordering across student lists while maintaining existing functionality and navigation links.

See Edit Rules & Workflow > Alert Icons for more information

FOCUS-55657- Graduation Req. Report: Middle School Industry Scholar Designation System Preference (FL)

Adds a new system preference, "Middle School Industry Scholar Designation," to the Florida Graduation Requirements Report. When enabled, industry certifications earned prior to ninth grade are included toward Industry Scholar Designation requirements. When disabled (default), only certifications earned during high school are considered.

See System Preferences > Grading tab for more information.

FOCUS-55653- Graduation Requirements Report: New Total Earned Credits

Enhances the Graduation Requirements Report by adding a new "Total Earned Credits" column when Show Detailed is enabled. This column displays the total credits a student has earned for each requirement, based on the same logic used in the Credits Detailed section. It applies to Grad Subject and Custom List of Courses requirements, helping staff more easily verify student progress toward graduation.

See Graduation Requirement Report > Viewing the Graduation Requirements Report for an Individual Student for more information.

FOCUS-55651- Grad Req. Report: New Permission to Hide 'Evaluate other Programs' Parent/Student Portals

This branch adds a new Parent and Student profile permission, "Evaluate other programs," to control access to the "Evaluate other programs" link on the Graduation Requirements Report.

The permission is enabled by default for profiles that already have access to the report, preserving existing behavior after migration. Administrators can then disable the permission for Parent and Student profiles while still allowing access to the Graduation Requirements Report itself.

See Profiles > Permissions Explained > Menu > Parents > My Child; Profiles > Permissions Explained > Menu > Students > My Information; Parent/Student Portal > Grad Reqs > Viewing the Graduation Requirements Report for more information.

FOCUS-55616- Grade Change Requests Current Grade Calculation

Resolves an issue where the Current Gradebook Grade in Grade Change Requests could reflect a dropped course instead of the students active section. The system now correctly calculates and displays the grade from the current enrollment, ensuring consistency between admin and teacher views.

FOCUS-55615- Hall Pass: Add Student Name and Photo

The Classroom Kiosk has been updated to add the student's photo ID and name, as well as provide immediate audio feedback during hall pass creation.

After a student enters their Student ID, the student's full name and photo will now display at the top of the Create Pass screen. These details remain visible throughout the entire pass creation process, allowing staff and students to quickly verify the correct student before issuing a pass.

In addition, audio feedback has been introduced to the kiosk workflow. When a hall pass is successfully created, a positive confirmation sound will play. If the pass cannot be created due to a restriction or limit, a negative alert sound will play to notify staff immediately.

This update improves both accuracy and efficiency in the classroom by providing clear visual confirmation of the student and real-time feedback on pass creation outcomes.

See Hall Passes (Admin), Hall Passes on the Kiosk and Mobile App (Admin), Hall Passes (Teacher), and Hall Passes on the Kiosk for Teachers for more information.

Live Demo - Focus Kiosk

FOCUS-55548- API: "Use Grade Posting End Dates" Logic Now Applies to Student Enrollment

Enhances the Third Party Systems API so the "Use Grade Posting End Dates for Enrollments" option now applies to both student and teacher enrollments. Student enrollment end dates will align with grade posting end dates when configured, ensuring consistent data across API endpoints such as OneRoster.

See Third Party Systems for more information.

FOCUS-55533- Form Builder Suppress Emails for Submitter

Updates the Form Builder setting "Suppress Approval Emails for Submitter" to "Suppress Emails for Submitter" and expands its functionality. When enabled, approval and denial emails are no longer sent to the form submitter, while approval flow notifications to staff remain unaffected. The tooltip has been updated to clarify this behavior.

See Form Builder > Creating a New Form for more information.

FOCUS-55495- Edit Rules On Change Criteria No Longer Fires on New Records

Resolves an issue where Edit Rules configured to run on change could incorrectly trigger when a new record was first created. New objects are no longer treated as already modified, so criteria that depend on field changes only run after an actual update is made to the record.

FOCUS-55489- Student Fields: Consider the Section End Date for Teacher Room Field & Use the Active Date for Communication

Improves Student Field logic for Teacher Room and Communication templates by considering section end dates and marking period boundaries. Teacher and course data now reflect only active schedule records based on effective dates, ensuring communication templates display the correct teacher and course information and exclude outdated or dropped sections.

FOCUS-55467- Student Info: Linked Students Now Respect Format Name Preference

Resolves an issue where the Linked Students field in Addresses & Contacts did not follow user name format preferences. The field now dynamically displays student names based on the configured Student Name Format, including support for preferred names, ensuring consistency with system-wide display settings.

FOCUS-55465- Parent Registration Audit Fields Populated

Ensures that parent accounts created through the legacy registration flow (/auth) populate the created_by_id and updated_by_id fields with the parents staff ID.

FOCUS-55457- Advanced Reports Attendance Filters Corrected

Resolves an issue where Daily Attendance and Period Attendance filters in Advanced Reports did not properly restrict results. Reports now return only students who meet the selected attendance criteria, ensuring accurate filtering for absence and tardy conditions within the specified date range.

FOCUS-55407- Communication Breakdown: Change to Horizontal Bar Graphs

Updates the Communication Breakdown report to use horizontal bar graphs instead of pie charts. The new charts provide improved readability and scalability, with dynamic bar sizing, responsive axes, and tooltips that display record counts. All breakdown categories, including Communication Type, School, User Type, and delivery methods, now use a consistent bar chart format, and previous chart toggle controls have been removed.

See Communication Breakdown (Admin) for more information.

FOCUS-55348- Communication: Respect Default Student Contact Type When Selecting Students Based on Table Results in Another Screen

Updates the Communication button across multiple screens to honor the Default Student Recipient Type set in Default User Preferences. When launching Communication from supported pages, the recipient type now defaults correctly based on the user's configured preference, ensuring a consistent messaging workflow.

FOCUS-55273- Mobile App: Hide Grades at Some Grade Levels Based on New System Preference - 'Show Gradebook Assignments & Grades on Parent/Student Portal'

Updates the mobile app to honor the system preference "Show Gradebook Assignments & Grades on Parent/Student Portal." Gradebook assignments and grades are now hidden in the app for students whose grade levels are not included in the preference, ensuring consistency between portal and mobile visibility settings.

FOCUS-55222- Online Enrollments Merge Updates School Choice Records

Improves student merge behavior during Online Enrollment processing by ensuring related School Choice records are reassigned to the active student.

FOCUS-55037- Attendance Thresholds: Prevent Duplicate Referrals

Resolves an issue where the Attendance Thresholds scheduled job could create duplicate discipline referrals when overlapping semesters caused the same attendance event to be evaluated multiple times. The system now prevents duplicates for the same attendance record and includes cleanup logic to remove previously created duplicate referrals, ensuring only one referral is retained per qualifying event.

 FOCUS-51914 - SSO Features

This branch introduces several enhancements and refinements to the Single Sign-On (SSO) framework, improving configuration flexibility, authentication workflows, and troubleshooting capabilities. The update includes UI improvements within Setup > Single Sign On, additional debugging tools, performance optimizations, and expanded OAuth-based login options for users.

Support for OAuth-based authentication providers has been expanded. Administrators can now configure Google and Apple authentication options for login and registration, enabling new “Continue with Google” and “Continue with Apple” buttons on the /auth registration pages, as well as “Sign in with Google” and “Sign in with Apple” on the main login screen. These options allow users to authenticate through their external accounts and automatically create or link Focus accounts based on their email address. These providers are installed and enabled by default but can be disabled through the Enable For configuration options.

Key improvements include renaming and reorganizing existing settings for clarity (such as “Automatic Login Redirect” → “Login Redirect”), restoring the Test Login utility for validating SSO configurations, and replacing View Sessions with Debug Recent Logins, which now includes a Username column to assist administrators in reviewing recent authentication attempts. Several configuration options, including Native Browser on Mobile, QR Code on Kiosk, and Bypass Focus 2FA, have also been consolidated under a new Options dropdown for improved usability. The branch also introduces a Bypass Focus 2FA option that allows an SSO provider to satisfy the Focus two-factor authentication requirement when the external identity provider already performs MFA.

See Single Sign-On for more information.

FOCUS-55934- School Choice late window allows 2 selections instead of 1 for students with Declined or Waiting status

FOCUS-55863- Proficiency Gradebook: Issue Setting Standard for Assignments Added Without a Standard

FOCUS-55788- School Choice Report pulling translated answers

FOCUS-55767- Disable some fields on student merge screen

See Delete a Student > Did You Know? and Add a Student > Did You Know? for more information.

FOCUS-55754- Fatal error when parent clicks "In Progress" enrollment form with deleted header image

FOCUS-55790- SSS - SSS Image Button Conditional on SFTP Configuration

Updates Mass Print/Image Events so the Image button is only displayed when all required SFTP server settings are fully configured. The Generate option remains available at all times, while the Image option appears only when the system is properly set up to support file transfer.

See Mass Print/Image Events for more information.

FOCUS-55690- SSS: Adds 'ESE Counselor' to the Responsible Implementer Dropdown Options

Adds "ESE Counselor" as a selectable option in the Responsible Implementer dropdown for IEP 2.0 and Amended IEP 2.0, expanding role options available during IEP setup and management.

IEP 2.0

FOCUS-55686- SSS: Adds "Notes" to the "Manage Student" Events Table

Adds a Notes column to the Manage Student events table. Notes can be edited in the Active Events tab for users with edit permissions, and are view-only in Locked and Inactive Events. Rich-text formatting is preserved when viewing notes.

See General > Setting Program Preferences, Manage Student (Admin), and Manage Student (Teacher) for more information.

General

FOCUS-55632- SSS Custom Screens Rich Text Resizable Fields

Enhances usability of rich-text long text fields in SSS Custom Screens by allowing vertical resizing. Users can now drag the bottom edge of the editor to expand or shrink the field as needed, making it easier to view and edit larger amounts of text.

See Custom Screen Setup > Long Text for more information.

FOCUS-55579- SSS: Caseload & Services Student Dropdown Filter Additions

Adds two new configuration options in SSS > General > Caseload & Services to refine the student dropdown: "Caseload & Services - IEP Student Filter Field" and "Caseload & Services - 504 Student Filter Field." These settings allow districts to filter the caseload student list based on selected IEP/ESE/SPED or 504-related fields. The student dropdown now returns filtered results based on the configured field values, improving usability and performance when managing caseloads.

See General > Setting the Caseload & Services Preferences, Caseload & Services (Admin), and Caseload & Services (Teacher) for more information.

General

FOCUS-55324- SSS: Enable Custom Field Screen for "Ready to Sign" Functionality

Enhances digital signature delivery in SSS by allowing forms to be sent to a secondary parent (contact priority 2) in addition to the primary contact. This ensures both guardians can receive and complete required signatures through the parent portal.

See Manage Student > Sending an Event to Parents for Signatures for more information.

FOCUS-55204- SSS: Supplementary Form Event Updates

Improves SSS Supplementary Forms behavior by introducing clearer selection, edit control, and locking functionality. The Supplementary Forms dropdown now defaults to "Select One" instead of auto-selecting a form, preventing unintended form selection. Editing is restricted to one user at a time, with appropriate messaging displayed when another user is actively editing the form. Once an event is locked, the Edit option is replaced with View, ensuring forms are no longer editable and reflecting their final state.

IEP Meeting Notice

FOCUS-55203- SSS: Multiple Instances of Event Limited to 1 Max Concurrent Instance

Fixes an issue where SSS event instances could exceed configured max total and max concurrent limits. The system now correctly enforces event limits and properly validates dependencies when creating events through triggers.

FOCUS-55094- SSS: Remove Save & Validate Button From Custom Screens

Updates SSS custom screen workflows by removing the Save & Validate button from selected steps across IEP, Gifted EP, PMP, and Progress Monitoring events. These steps now rely on streamlined save behavior, improving consistency and reducing unnecessary validation actions during event completion.

FOCUS-55053- SSS: User Profile Permissions - Electronic Signatures

Adds a new Sign Only permission within SSS > User Profile Permissions > Event Permissions that allows profiles to edit only signature components within SSS events while other fields remain read-only. This provides more granular control for users who only need to review and sign events. The option is available when View All permission is enabled and is disabled if Edit All is selected. Additionally, pagination and toggle column controls have been added to the System Permissions and Event Permissions tables to improve navigation and usability.

See User Profile Permissions for more information.

Focus

FOCUS-54533- SSS Custom Screens Support Student Field Integration

Enhances SSS custom screens by allowing student fields to be linked directly to SSS fields. When an event is initiated, the SSS field is automatically populated with the current value from the linked student field and can be edited during the event. Upon locking the event, the final value is written back to the linked student field, ensuring data consistency between SSS and student records.

See Custom Screen Setup > Student Field for more information.
