FOCUS-60593- 'Update existing field permissions' does not update column-specific profiles in logging fields
When updating the default profiles for a custom field category and confirming that existing field permissions should reflect those changes, profile updates now also apply to columns within Logging Fields. Previously, confirming the update would apply the new default profiles to fields in the category but not to their Logging Field columns. Note that Logging Field columns for Show School Year, Show Created By, Show Created At, Show Updated By, and Show Updated At are not included in this update and must still be adjusted manually if needed.
See Fields, Custom Screen Setup, and Employee Fields for more information.
FOCUS-59856- Student Billing | Disallow Same-Source Deferrals on an Invoice Allocation
Student Billing: Duplicate Funding Source Deferral Prevention
Updated Student Billing payment processing to prevent a single invoice allocation from being deferred more than once to the same funding source.
- Duplicate Deferral Guard: If an user attempts to add a second deferral for the same invoice allocation to a funding source that has already been applied, the system will block the entry and display a warning message informing them that the allocation has already been deferred to that funding source.
- Improved Control: Ensures accurate financial tracking and prevents unintended duplicate deferral amounts on student invoices.
See Accounts Receivable > Point of Sale > Payment Types > Deferral (Funding Source) and Billing > Student Billing > Applying Payments to Outstanding Invoices for more information.
FOCUS-57561- Accounts Receivable | Include Auto-Defer Logic for POS Invoices
Accounts Receivable - Automatic Deferrals for POS Invoices
Student Billing and Accounts Receivable Point of Sale (POS) invoices now support automatic deferral processing.
When a new POS invoice line is created for an eligible student, the system automatically checks for applicable student funding-source vouchers and applies the appropriate deferral. This helps ensure voucher-based payments are reflected consistently on POS invoices and receipts.
A new billing system preference is also available to disable automatic deferrals when manual processing is preferred.
See Accounts Receivable > Point of Sale > Adding a New Item (Sales), Billing > Student Billing > Recording the Sale of an Item and Printing Invoices, and System Preferences > List of Default School Preferences and School Preferences > Billing for more information.
FOCUS-57266- Setup | Accounts Payable - Customize "Require PO Change Request to Use Approval Flow" Setting
Customizable PO Change Request Approval Flow Settings
Districts now have enhanced, granular control over when Purchase Order (PO) change requests trigger approval workflow resubmissions. The previous binary checkbox for "Require PO Change Request to Use Approval Flow" has been upgraded to a customizable multi-option dropdown setting.
Located under ERP > Setup > Settings > Accounts Payable > Misc, the new dropdown setting provides four configuration choices:
- No Approval Required: PO change requests bypass the re-approval workflow entirely upon submission.
- All Changes: Any edit to an approved PO change request (including non-dollar edits like description or comment updates) restarts the approval workflow and returns the request to Pending status.
- Amount Increase/Decrease: Re-approval is triggered only when allocation or line-item dollar amounts increase or decrease. Non-dollar modifications do not restart the approval workflow.
- Amount Increase: Re-approval is triggered only when there is a net positive dollar increase on the PO. Net decreases or non-dollar edits will not restart the approval flow.
See Setup > Settings > Accounts Payable > Misc, Purchase Requests/Orders > Request History, and Internal Purchase Requests/Orders > Request History for more information.
FOCUS-55961- Billing | Add Print Button for Student Portal Customer Ledger
Billing - Student & Parent Portal Customer Ledger Printing
Introduced Print Ledger functionality within both the Parent Portal and Student Portal Customer Ledger pages.
- Print Ledger Button: Parents and students can now print a clean, formatted copy of their Customer Ledger directly from the portal (supporting both standard and simplified ledger views).
- Customized Header: Printed ledgers include the district logo, customer details (name/ID), current balances, and credit information.
- Clean Layout: Interactive portal-only elements (such as payment cancellation controls) are automatically excluded from the printed document for a clean presentation.
See (Parents/Students) Customer Ledger for more information.
FOCUS-60696- Budgeting/General Ledger | Manual Journal Notification Improvements
Manual Journal Notification Improvements
When an approver uses the "Send Back to Originator" action on a pending Manual Journal, the system now automatically notifies the originator via both email and a dashboard task.
- Email Notification Added: The originator receives an email notification alerting them that their Manual Journal draft was returned for correction.
- Dashboard Task Created: A dashboard task is automatically assigned to the originator so they can quickly access and update the returned journal.
- Task Cleanup: Once the originator corrects and resubmits the journal for approval, the dashboard task is automatically resolved and removed.
See Budgeting/GL > Manual Journals > Pending Approval for more information.
FOCUS-60607- Accounts Payable | Invoice Extra Charges Improvement
Invoice Extra Charges Improvement
In Accounts Payable Invoices, descriptions entered for Extra Charges line items can now be customized and saved.
- Custom Description Editing: When adding or updating an Extra Charges line on an AP Invoice, the Description field is now fully editable.
- Persistent Data: Customized descriptions are saved to the database and will correctly display whenever the invoice is reopened or refreshed.
- Unchanged Line Logic: Regular purchase order (PO) and request-derived invoice line item descriptions remain read-only to preserve original request data, and Tax Retainage rows remain unaffected.
See Accounts Payable > Invoices > PO Invoice and Accounts Payable > Internal Account Invoices > PO Invoice for more information.
FOCUS-53221- Accounts Receivable | Add 1098-T Setting to use Allocation Due Sate for Upcoming Term Qualification
Accounts Receivable - 1098-T Setting for Upcoming Term Qualification
Expanded the 1098-T configuration for qualification of amounts for the upcoming academic period.
- Flexible Qualification Options: The setting "Includes amounts for the upcoming academic period" now features configurable dropdown options, including Use Invoice Allocation Due Date and Use Schedule Start Date.
- Automatic Box 7 Qualification: When set to Use Invoice Allocation Due Date, Box 7 is automatically checked on generated 1098-T forms for students who made payments for eligible fees where the invoice allocation due date falls in the upcoming period (e.g., January).
- Seamless Migration: Existing configurations will automatically default to Use Schedule Start Date to maintain prior behavior without manual intervention.
See Setup > Settings > 1098-T for more information.
FOCUS-60026- Accounts Receivable | Add Student Email to Outstanding Invoices Report Scheduled Job
Accounts Receivable | Add Student Email to Outstanding Invoices Report Scheduled Job
The Outstanding Student Invoices scheduled job has been enhanced to include student email addresses in the generated execution log report.
When administrators run the job, the log file now includes an Email column alongside Student ID, Student Name, and Outstanding Balance. This improvement makes it easier to verify student contact details directly from the execution history log without navigating to individual student demographic pages.
- New Log Column: Added an Email column to the generated HTML log table for the Outstanding Student Invoices cron job.
- Student Data Lookup: Resolves the primary email address configured on the student profile (SIS > Student Info > Demographics).
- Data Security & Formatting: Ensures email addresses and special characters are safely escaped for proper HTML table rendering.
See Setup > Scheduled Jobs > Built-In Scheduled Jobs Explained for more information.
FOCUS-60810- fix(cron): account for null values in address comparisons for student financial data
FOCUS-60545- Payroll > Payroll Reports | Add "Effective Date" filter
The Net Pay By Fund and Net Pay By Project reports in Payroll now include an Effective Date filter, consistent with the existing Calculation Control report. The field defaults to today's date, and removing the date or leaving it blank preserves the existing report behavior.
See Payroll Reports > Net Pay By Fund and Net Pay By Project for more details.
FOCUS-59982- Time & Attendance | Tasks Management
This enhancement introduces comprehensive Task Management capabilities to the Time & Attendance (T&A) system. District administrators can now define and assign tasks to employees, enforce task-based time tracking at the timeclock, and manage task dispatches across the district or managed teams from a central interface.
- New "Assigned Tasks" Dispatch Page
- Added a dedicated Assigned Tasks view under Human Resources β Time & Attendance Tasks.
- Schedule Setup: "Tasks" Configuration
- Introduced a Tasks option in Primary Action for T&A Schedule Setup
- When enabled for a schedule, employees on that schedule operate in Task-Limited Mode on the timeclock:
- The timeclock replaces standard punch-in/out buttons with today's assigned tasks list.
- If an employee has no active task assignments for the current day, the system automatically falls back to standard punch buttons.
- Timeclock Task Tracking & Auto-Finalization
- Employees can begin and end assigned tasks directly from the timeclock screen.
- Real-time status lifecycle tracking (Incomplete β Active β Finalized).
- Automated Finalization: If a task exceeds its configured task_missed_threshold, the system automatically finalizes the task assignment via background automated routines.
- Task Scheduling, Recurrence & Calendar Logic
- Supports single and daily-recurring tasks spanning an entire school year.
- Automatically aligns with district/school calendars, skipping holidays and non-work days when generating assignments.
- Updating a taskβs scheduled dates automatically reschedules or soft-deletes incomplete future assignments outside the new range.
- Protects historical clock records by preventing deletion of any task that already has recorded clock-in time.
- CSV Bulk Import & Rollback Handling
- Supports bulk CSV imports for task definitions and assignments.
- Includes per-row validation and transaction savepoint rollbacks to isolate errors without invalidating the entire batch, alongside full rollback protection for system-level errors.
FOCUS-59847- T&A | Add setting for break request verbiage
Administrators can now customize the text displayed on the employee timeclock's break button. This allows districts to use terminology that aligns with their local timekeeping policies--for example, changing the button label from "Break" to "Lunch" or another preferred term for the unpaid break.
The setting is available in Time & Attendance Setup. If no custom label is entered, the system continues to display the existing default break-button wording.
See Time & Attendance Setup > Settings > "Portal: Break button text" for more details.
FOCUS-58108- Payroll Budget Planning | Use Projection Position control values for Vacant positions
Payroll Budget Planning: Improved Prior-Year Payroll Data Calculations
Enhanced the logic for the "Use Prior Fiscal Year Payroll Data" option in Payroll Budget Planning. The system now uses the most recent payroll data from the previous fiscal year to calculate budgets for occupied positions. For vacant positions, calculations now pull in the vacancy amounts specified in the budget (next) year's Position Control records.
FOCUS-57817- Microsoft Teams Gradebook Sync
Gradebook now supports integration with Microsoft Teams, allowing teachers to import categories, assignments, and student grades from a linked Teams class into the Focus Gradebook. Once Microsoft Teams is configured in Third Party Systems and the Show Microsoft Teams permission is enabled, teachers can link their Microsoft account through Gradebook Settings or My Preferences and associate a Teams class with a Focus class section.
After a class is linked, the new Microsoft Teams option in Gradebook provides a preview of the information available to import before the sync is completed. Categories are created as needed, and assignments, point values, descriptions, and grades are updated from Teams. Subsequent syncs update Focus to reflect applicable changes made in Teams. The integration is one-way from Microsoft Teams to Focus; changes made only in Focus are not sent to Teams and may be overwritten during a later sync. Existing Google Classroom integration functionality remains unchanged.
See Third Party Systems, Profiles > Teacher > Grades tab > Show Microsoft Teams, and Gradebook > Microsoft Teams for more information.
FOCUS-59467- Custom Fields: New Resources/Rooms Field Source
Enhances Setup > Fields by adding support for Resource & Room custom fields.
Administrators can now create custom fields for Resources/Rooms, including Text, Long Text, Checkbox, Number, Date, Time, Select One, Select Multiple, Computed, and Placeholder field types. These fields are available in Setup > Rooms, allowing districts to store and manage additional room and resource information. A new Resources profile permission controls access to this functionality.
See Fields > Room Fields and Profiles for more information.
FOCUS-60816- Parent Absence Requests > Multiple Updates
Parent Absence Requests includes several updates. A new system preference, "Restrict Parent Absence Requests to Unexcused Absences/Tardies Only," is now available under Attendance preferences. When enabled, parents are limited to the unexcused absences and tardies table and may only submit excuse notes for those records; the full absence request form is not available. The button label in the Attendance view updates to "Submit Excuse Note" when this preference is active, and if no unexcused absences or tardies remain, a message notifies the parent that no requests are needed at that time. This preference is evaluated per school, so parents with students enrolled at multiple schools will see the appropriate experience for each student. Note that when this preference is enabled, submitted excuse notes will not appear in the My Absence Requests table in the parent portal. Staff reviewing requests can now edit the Request Type, Start Time, and End Time directly in the Review modal before approving, allowing corrections when a parent's original submission does not match the actual attendance record. Staff may also approve a Late Arrival or Early Dismissal request using a new option to approve without updating attendance, which allows the corresponding Late Check In or Early Release record to govern the attendance update instead. Additionally, parents are now required to enter a time when submitting a Late Arrival or Leave Early request; the form cannot be submitted without a time value for those request types.
FOCUS-60785- Parent Absence Request > Accept daily codes for partial requests
When staff review a Parent Absence Request for a partial-day absence type such as Arrive Late or Leave Early that has no time on record, the validation message now more accurately reflects the situation. Instead of indicating that a daily attendance code cannot be used for a partial-day request, staff will see a message advising them to contact the parent to confirm the time and resubmit before approving.
FOCUS-60754- Parent Absence Request > Drag and Drop / Late Check In System Preference
Parent Absence Requests now support drag-and-drop file uploads in the Add Documentation modal, allowing both parents and staff to attach supporting documents when submitting or recording absence requests. A new system preference, Disable Leave Early Option for Parents, is also available under Attendance settings. When enabled, parents submitting absence requests are limited to the Full Day and Arrive Late request types. Staff retain access to all three request types regardless of this setting.
See System Preferences > Attendance tab > Disable 'Leave Early' Option for Parents for more information.
FOCUS-60623- Parent Absence Requests -- add "Show translation" toggle for comments on staff review modal
Staff reviewing parent absence requests can now translate comments submitted by parents whose portal language is set to a non-English language. A "Show Translation" link appears next to the comment on the review screen when the submitting parent's language preference is not English; clicking it automatically translates the comment into the reviewer's language. A "Show original" link returns the comment to its original text. This feature is available to all districts and does not require the Communication module. Translation requires that both the submitter's and reviewer's languages are configured in the district's language table; if either language is missing or both languages are the same, the toggle does not appear.
See Parent Absence Requests for more information.
FOCUS-60717- Print Student Schedules: Adds 'Include Lunches' Option
Print Student Schedules now includes an "Include Lunches" option. When selected, student lunches will appear on bulk-printed schedules, matching the lunch information displayed when printing directly from the individual Student Schedule page. If the option is not selected, existing behavior is unchanged.
See Print Student Schedules for more information.
FOCUS-60708- Optimize fieldOptionCode() and fieldOptionLabel()
Updates to the field option code and label lookup functions improve reliability when querying custom select fields with various value types, preventing failures that could affect data retrieval and third-party integrations that depend on student data endpoints.
FOCUS-60683- Introduce Print Button to District QS Analytics Report View
A Print button is now available on the District QS Analytics report view. Clicking the button opens a full print preview of the dashboard, allowing users to print the report directly or save it as a PDF.
See District QS Analytics > Printing Reports section for more information.
FOCUS-60658- Parent Absence Request > Image View Scaling
Uploaded images in Parent Absence Requests now scale correctly to fit the viewing window, allowing users to see the full document without scrolling. This improvement also applies when viewing uploaded documentation in Attendance Administration, Attendance Parent Absence Requests, and the parent portal. PDF uploads continue to display as before.
FOCUS-60648- Print ID Badges: Includes Suffix
When printing student ID badges, the student's name suffix now appears on the badge when one is on record. If a student's name is excluded from the badge, the suffix is also excluded.
See Students > Print ID Badges for more information.
FOCUS-60640- Absence Requests: prevent requesting absence when no schedule exists
When a parent submits an absence request, the system now validates that the student has an active schedule with attendance-taking sections for the requested dates. If no qualifying schedule exists, the submission is rejected and a warning message is displayed. This prevents absence requests from being created or approved in cases where attendance cannot be recorded.
FOCUS-60560- Administration > Add Documentation Consistency
In Attendance > Administration, users with View/Edit permission for Parent Absence Requests now see the Add Documentation button, consistent with the behavior already in place on Absence Summary. Previously, these users were presented with the legacy Excuse Note file upload in Administration rather than the Add Documentation option.
See Administration > Adding Absence Documentation for additional information.
FOCUS-60556- Ed-Fi: Fix CalendarDate not populating all dates
The Ed-Fi CalendarDates resource now correctly includes all dates when a calendar event spans a range of dates. Previously, only the first date of a multi-day event was submitted, which could result in missing calendar date entries for the affected date range.
FOCUS-60473- Added comments shortcut/copy data formatting
The Run Query tool now supports the comment shortcut (Ctrl+/ on Windows, Cmd+/ on Mac), allowing users to quickly comment or uncomment individual lines or multiple selected lines directly in the SQL editor. Additionally, copying values from the results grid now preserves proper formatting when pasted into spreadsheet applications, so individual cell values paste as single values and multi-cell selections spread correctly across separate columns.
See Run Query for more information.
FOCUS-60460- Courses & Sections: Adds Historical Options Logic to Subs Tab
When a teacher assigned as a substitute has their profile deleted or end-dated, Courses & Sections now retains and displays that teacher on the Subs tab, consistent with the existing behavior on the Co-Teacher and Inclusion tabs. The previously assigned substitute also now appears in the Attendance Setup report. In both locations, the teacher identifier is shown in red to indicate the profile is no longer active.
FOCUS-60407- Hall Pass > Fix # of Pass Student Restrictions
Student Restrictions now correctly honors a student-specific daily pass limit when Timeframe Restrictions are also configured. When a student has a pass limit set in Student Restrictions, that limit fully replaces the school-wide daily maximum for that student, restoring the ability to grant individual students a higher number of daily passes than the school-wide default.
FOCUS-60374- Hall Pass > Next Class Pass
When creating a hall pass for multiple students, admins and teachers now see a "Next Class Pass" checkbox in the pass creation form. Checking this option automatically routes each selected student's pass to their next scheduled class period for the day, and grays out the manual Destination field since the destination is determined automatically. A tooltip on the checkbox explains the behavior. This option is not available when creating recurring passes or when using a kiosk. If any selected student has no upcoming scheduled class that day, the pass will not be created and a message will indicate that a scheduled class could not be found.
See Hall Passes (Admin), Hall Passes (Teacher), Student Info: Hall Passes (Admin), Student Info: Hall Passes (Teacher), Hall Passes in the Kiosk and Mobile App (Admin), and Hall Passes in the Mobile App (Teacher) for more information.
FOCUS-60269- Mass Add Log Records: Add Communication Button
A Communication button is now available on the Mass Add Log Records screen for users who have permission to send communications. When clicked, the button redirects to the Compose screen with recipients pre-populated based on the current log record list. If the list has been filtered before clicking the button, only students matching the active filter are included as recipients. Any newly added and saved records are also reflected in the recipient list. The button does not appear when a Form logging field is selected, and users without communication permissions will not see it.
See Students > Mass Add Log Records for more information.
FOCUS-60258- Fix Identity Search to correctly format birth date
The Ed-Fi Identity Search now displays student birth dates accurately. Previously, the birth date shown during the identity match process appeared one day earlier than the student's actual birth date. This has been corrected so the birth date displayed in the Ed-Fi Identity Search matches the student's birth date on record.
FOCUS-60161- Auto-null hidden fields when edit rules fire in application/SSS contexts
In online enrollment and Student Support Services (SSS) contexts, fields that are hidden by a conditional hide rule now have their values automatically cleared. Previously, a hidden field could retain a previously entered value, causing a validation message to appear for a field the user could no longer see or modify. With this update, hidden fields are treated as empty, allowing users to save and submit forms without encountering validation messages tied to fields that are no longer visible.
FOCUS-60116- Student/User Info: Deleting User Deletes Student/Parent Linkage
When deleting a student record, linked parent/user and student relationships are now automatically removed as part of the deletion process, eliminating the need to manually unlink these relationships first. Existing safeguards that prevent deletion when a student has attendance or grade records remain unchanged. When deleting a parent or user account that is linked to a student, the delete option remains disabled until the student link is removed.
FOCUS-59946- Approval Alerts: Firing for first approval rather than after last approval
Students no longer receive an approved portal alert until all required approval steps in a multi-step approval flow have been completed. Previously, the approved notification could appear after an earlier approver acted on a form, even when additional approvals were still pending. The alert now displays only after the final required approver has approved the form.
FOCUS-59622- Duplicate Student Application Hardcoded Message
When a custom duplicate student application message is configured in system preferences, only that custom message now appears when a parent submits a duplicate student application. Previously, a hardcoded message displayed alongside the custom message, resulting in two separate messages appearing for the same condition. If no custom message is configured, existing behavior is unchanged.
FOCUS-59527- School Choice: School Selector Now Multiple in School Choice Setup, Capacity
The Capacity tabs within Setup > School Choice Setup now support selecting multiple schools at once, allowing users to view and manage capacity data for several schools in a single search. The school selector defaults to the user's current school and displays a loading indicator while data is being retrieved. Users will only see schools they have permission to access, and results are shown only after clicking the Search button. The capacity table now spans the full width of the page for improved readability. Additionally, the School Filter field in Setup > Fields > School Fields now supports tags in the swift box selector.
See School Choice Setup > Setting Up Program Capacity for more information.
FOCUS-59385- Mobile App > searchStudents optimization
The mobile app now loads the student list incrementally, displaying an initial set of students and automatically loading more as you scroll toward the bottom of the list. This reduces the time administrators wait for the app to become usable when managing large student populations.
FOCUS-56525- Improvements to Teacher Schedules Report
Enhances Scheduling > Teacher Schedules Report with a new "By:" selector, allowing users to view schedules by Teacher, Room, or Course. The Room view replaces the previous Room Schedules report, consolidating functionality into a single screen. The new Course view provides a grid showing seats, requests, and unfilled requests by period, with quick actions to add or duplicate sections directly from the report. These updates streamline scheduling workflows and provide greater visibility into course demand and room usage.
See Teacher Schedules Report for more information.
FOCUS-58969- Teacher Schedules Report: Differentiates Co-Teachers and Inclusion Teachers
Enhances the Teacher Schedules report by adding a dedicated Inclusion option to the Show menu.
When enabled, the new option displays assigned inclusion teachers independently of the existing Co-Teachers setting, making it easier to identify inclusion support assignments within teacher schedules. The feature is available only for districts using Inclusion and is shown separately from other co-teacher display options, providing greater flexibility when reviewing teacher schedules.
See Teacher Schedules Report for more information.
FOCUS-58282- Inactive students included in re-enrollment eligibility query when drop date precedes form availability date
Students who have been dropped or whose enrollment has ended will no longer appear on the Online Enrollment Unsubmitted tab or receive re-enrollment forms. Previously, dropped students could still be included in re-enrollment processing and counted in district summary reports. With this update, only students with an active or future enrollment are considered eligible for re-enrollment. This applies to districts using the non-migrated re-enrollment code path.
FOCUS-57887- Community Mobile App: Add Referral Tab
Adds a new Referral tab to the Community Mobile App, allowing authorized staff to create student discipline referrals directly from a student's mobile profile. Users with referral creation permissions can access the new tab, complete referral details, and submit referrals without leaving the mobile app. After a referral is successfully created, the app automatically returns the user to the student summary view and displays a confirmation message. The Referral tab is only available to users with the appropriate discipline permissions and remains hidden for students, parents, and staff members without referral creation access.
See Using the Mobile App for Administrators and Using the Mobile App for Teachers for more information.
FOCUS-56918- Student Search: Enable Search for Student Field with Alias state_ID
Student Search now supports searching by State ID when a Student field is configured with the state_id alias. Users can enter a single State ID or a comma- or space-separated list of State IDs to locate matching students. If the State ID field is not configured, existing Student Search behavior remains unchanged.
See Searching for Students (Admin) and Searching for Students (Teachers) for more information.
FOCUS-56720- Add 'Include Previous Years Inactive Students' for the teachers on the portal and in student search
Teachers who have been granted the Edit Previous Years Inactive Students permission can now use the Include Previous Years Inactive Students search option on the student search and students page without needing to switch to a prior school year. When using this option, teachers are limited to searching within their own sections and cannot search the entire school.
See Searching for Students (Teachers) for more information.
FOCUS-60076- Application change request: school_id not set to zoned school when student has existing address
When a re-enrolling inactive student submits an application without modifying their existing address, the zoned school now correctly populates in the School column on the Unprocessed Applications tab. Previously, applications submitted in this scenario could show a blank school, causing those applications to be overlooked during the enrollment review process.
FOCUS-59980- Applications & Forms: Parent Portal Required Forms Page
Two new system preferences are available under Setup > System Preferences > Online Application to notify parents when required forms must be completed before accessing the Parent Portal.
- Display Popup Alert When Parent Has Required Forms enables a modal notification that is displayed when a parent with outstanding required forms opens the Application List page.
- Required Forms Popup Message allows administrators to configure the message displayed in the popup using a rich text editor.
When enabled, parents with pending required forms receive the configured alert before accessing the Application List. Once acknowledged, they are directed to their required forms. The alert is shown only to parents and does not affect students or staff. Existing behavior is unchanged unless the feature is enabled.
See New Application Editor and Online Enrollments for Students for more information.
FOCUS-59563- Improve Applications & Forms for sent back visibility and mobile support
The Applications & Forms page in the Parent Portal now displays sent-back forms and applications in a dedicated section at the top of the page, making them easier to locate. Completed forms and applications are now sorted with the most recently completed appearing first. When a student has a pending school choice application, a Review Choice Acceptance button is available on the Applications & Forms page, providing direct access to school choice options without navigating away from the page. In the community mobile app, this button opens school choice within the app rather than redirecting to an external page. Additionally, a fix prevents the required-forms redirect from incorrectly triggering for a specific student when other students in the same account have outstanding forms.
See New Application Editor and Online Enrollments for Students and Applications & Forms (Parent/Student) for more information.
FOCUS-59292- SSS Caseload & Services: Change IEP Goals field to select multiple
In SSS Caseload & Services, the IEP Goals field on the Add Service page now supports selecting multiple goals within a single service record when a student has a linked IEP. This allows providers to document all goals addressed during a session without creating separate records for each goal. This behavior is controlled by a new system preference, Allow Multi Select IEP Goals, located under SSS > General > Caseload & Services Tab, which defaults to off. When the preference is disabled, the IEP Goals field continues to allow only a single selection. Selected goals are reflected in the Service History tab.
See General > Setting the Caseload & Services Preferences for more information.
FOCUS-58815- SSS Event Trigger: set Student Field
SSS Event Triggers now support a new Set Student Field action, which allows student fields to be automatically updated when a configured trigger condition is met, such as when an event is created. The action accepts a field alias and a corresponding value, and supports text, checkbox, number, date, time, select one, and select multiple field types.
See SSS Technical Information for more information.
FOCUS-56349- Postsecondary: Student Bulk Create Students
Adds a new Students > Bulk Create Students feature for Postsecondary and CTE organizations, allowing authorized users to quickly create large groups of placeholder student records for enrollment and billing purposes.
Users can specify the number of students to create, select a course or section, assign a funding source, define enrollment dates, and optionally associate parent accounts. The system automatically creates student records, enrolls them in the selected school year, and schedules them into available course sections when seats are available.
This enhancement supports organizations that purchase training seats in advance before individual student information is known, enabling districts to reserve enrollment capacity and manage invoicing workflows for employer-sponsored or group-funded training programs.
See Users > Profiles > Permissions Explained > Menu > Admin > Students and Bulk Create Students > Bulk Creating Students for more information.
