Manual Location Warning

We have introduced a new configuration setting in the ERP Transportation module to improve data accuracy and ensure users are aware when non-standard destination facilities are used in bus requests.

• Feature: "Enable Warning for Location Code Added" setting.
• Location: ERP > Transportation > Setup > Misc
• Functionality: When this toggle is enabled, the system will trigger a warning notification to both the Requestor and the Approver if a destination facility has been entered manually rather than selected from the pre-defined location list.

FOCUS-54640- Wallet | Credit Card Handling Improvement

Secure Credit Card Removal

We have resolved a technical issue within the Parent Portal Wallet to ensure a smoother, more reliable experience when managing saved payment methods. This update fixes a database error that previously occurred when deleting a credit card.

• Error-Free Deletion: Users can now delete expired or unwanted credit cards
• Wallet Stability: The Wallet view now refreshes automatically and correctly after a card is removed.
• Data Integrity: Remaining saved cards stay active and untouched.

FOCUS-54328- Purchase/Pay | Improved Wallet Transactions

Accurate Payment Type for Wallet Transactions

We have resolved a reporting issue where credit card payments made via the Saved Wallet were being misclassified in the billing history. This fix ensures that all Wallet-based transactions are correctly categorized for accurate financial tracking and filtering.

• Correct Categorization: Payments made through Portal > Purchase & Pay > Checkout using a saved Wallet card will no longer be labeled as "Other."
• New Classification: These transactions are now correctly identified as "Credit / Debit."
• Transaction IDs: Wallet-based payments now consistently return a valid Payment Transaction ID, providing a clear audit trail between the payment processor and your ledger.

FOCUS-54192- Billing | Mass Assign Payments Improvement

Streamlined Mass Assign Payments

We have overhauled the Mass Assign Payments workflow to increase flexibility and align it with standard Student Billing protocols. This update removes previous module dependencies and introduces integrated Cash Drawer management.

• Module Independence: The Mass Assign feature no longer requires the Shopping Cart, Before & After Care, or Adult/CTE modules to be active.
• Permission-Based Visibility: The Product dropdown is now controlled by the "View All Invoices" permission, ensuring users only see relevant items.
• Integrated Cash Drawer Selection: A new Cash Drawer dropdown has been added.
  • To maintain security and consistency with Student Billing, this list is automatically filtered to show only drawers assigned to the logged-in user at the selected school or facility.
• Successful Processing: Payments can now be mass-assigned and saved directly to the chosen cash drawer, ensuring accurate end-of-day reconciliation.

We've added a new feature to help streamline your Accounts Payable workflow:

• New Setting Location: Navigate to Setup > Settings > Accounts Payable.
• Setting Name: Look for 'Profiles to receive IA release invoice approval email'.
• How it works: You can now select specific user profiles to automatically receive an email notification when an invoice is released for payment via the Internal Release Invoices screen.

This ensures key users are immediately alerted when an invoice is ready for the next step in the payment process.

Fee History Access

We've added a Fee History button to the Asset Check-Out screen to provide better visibility into historical charges and financial tracking.

• Feature: Fee History Button

• Functionality: Users can now click the Fee History button to view a comprehensive log of all fees associated with a specific asset during the check-out process.

FOCUS-54741- Run Payroll > Misc Pay | Import defaulting to home accounting

Fixed: Miscellaneous Pay Import Accounting Logic

• Issue: Previously, if an import file contained an invalid or non-existent accounting strip, the system would silently default to the employee's home accounting strip.
• Change: The system now validates every accounting strip during import.
• New Behavior: * If a provided accounting strip does not exist in the system, the row will now trigger an error instead of defaulting to the employee's home job.
  • The "fallback" to the employee's home accounting will now only occur if the accounting fields in the import file are left completely blank.

FOCUS-54711- Payroll | Wage Recalc was including Supplement Retro

Correction for Supplement Retro -Fixed a bug specifically affecting the Payroll > Supplement Retro workflow where generated supplement retro payments were incorrectly being included in employees' period pay calculation. This fix ensures that any supplemental retro paid out through this process no longer interferes with the accuracy of a employee's base wages period pay calculation.

FOCUS-54690- Applicant Tracking | Offer Letter Improvement

Applicant Tracking Enhancement

We've improved the Offer Letter process within the ERP Human Resources module. This update ensures a seamless transition for candidates moving from "offered" to "hired."

• Direct Access Links: All Offer Letters sent to applicants now automatically include a secure link to the Candidate Portal.
• Streamlined Login: Applicants can use their existing credentials to log in directly from the email, allowing them to review, sign, and manage their offer documents without searching for the site URL.

FOCUS-54682- ESS | Leave Requests For Terminated Employees

Clearance of "Orphaned" Leave Requests Districts can now resolve pending leave for separated employees by leveraging the existing "Leave: Allow Terminated Jobs for X Days" setting in ESS. This update allows managers to access and action (approve or cancel) leave requests that were submitted before an employee's termination, even if the leave date is in the future. This ensures your pending approval area remains clean and up-to-date.

FOCUS-54673- ESS | Leave request linking to multiple jobs

Resolved: Duplicate Time Calculation in Leave Requests

• The Issue: Some employees with multiple job assignments reported receiving "Unexcused Absence" alerts despite having a sufficient leave balance.
• The Cause: The system was failing to link leave requests to a specific job. If an employee held two active positions, the system mistakenly doubled the requested hours, making it appear as though they were over their available balance.
• The Fix: We have updated the leave validation logic to correctly filter by the specific job associated with the request. Leave balances will now be calculated accurately, and "Unexcused Absence" errors triggered by this calculation bug have been resolved.

FOCUS-53993- Payroll | Fixed precision issues within the Check History table

Reverting wage precision in the check history (gl_pr_history_run_wages table) from five decimal places back to two. The previous increase caused down stream issues, and this change restores the original format.

FOCUS-53912- T&A | Add setting to allow employee's primary position manager to approve all time

New Setting: Primary Manager Approval for All Time Entries

We've introduced a new configuration in HR > Time & Attendance Setup that streamlines the approval workflow. When enabled, an employee's Primary Position Manager (defined in HR > Jobs) is granted the authority to approve all of that employee's time entries, including those recorded against non-primary jobs.

FOCUS-54508 - Mass Delete Added to New Payroll Page

This update restores and enhances Mass Delete functionality on the New Payroll page and any eligible data tables.

What's New

• The red minus icon has been replaced with row-level checkboxes.
• Users can now select multiple rows for deletion at one time.
• A new Save and Delete button appears at the top of the table once one or more checkboxes are selected.
• Clicking Save and Delete will remove the selected rows and save the changes in a single action.

Additional Enhancements

• Users can use Shift + Click to select a range of rows.

• After checking one row, hold Shift and click another checkbox to automatically select all rows in between.

• Mass Delete functionality can be enabled on any DataTable by adding the data-mass-delete attribute to the <table> element.

FOCUS-54618 - Add Error and Warning Summary to New Payroll Module and show possible errors and descriptions

The new Payroll > Payroll > Process Payroll tab now includes a summary table of Errors and Warnings by code. This update introduces "click-to-filter" functionality, where selecting a code in the summary automatically updates the detail list. We have also added the Error/Warning Code # to the detail grid to support advanced filtering and faster reconciliation.

FOCUS-54808- Post Final Grades: Resolves Long Comments Not Allowing Special Characters

Final grade comments containing the less than symbol now save and display in full without being truncated. Long comments that include comparison symbols such as <, >, or = are preserved as entered when posting final grades.

FOCUS-54799- District Report Cards: Improve Multi-lingual for Administrators

Enhances multi-lingual report card functionality through District Report Cards. The Generate tab checkbox "Has Multilingual Template" has been renamed to "Translate" and now only impacts on-demand generation. A system preference, Enable Multi-Lingual Report Cards, controls whether report cards use the student's Primary Language field. When disabled, all report cards generate in English; when enabled, district and portal report cards display in the student's primary language regardless of template settings.

FOCUS-54783- QR Code Support in Advanced Reports & Back of ID Badges

Adds QR code generation for Student and User IDs in Advanced Reports and on Student ID badges. A new Student ID QR Code field is now available in Advanced Reports, and QR codes can be added to the back of two-sided ID badges through the badge layout editor. This enhancement expands identification and scanning options while maintaining existing barcode functionality.

FOCUS-54760- Communication: Adjust Quite Period Message When Using Emergency

Updates the scheduling notice for Calls and SMS when quiet hours are configured. The scheduling message now clearly states that calls and SMS are only sent within the defined call window unless marked as emergency. When a message is flagged as emergency, the quiet period warning no longer appears, ensuring accurate and consistent messaging behavior during scheduling.

FOCUS-54746- Show Print Option on Average Daily Attendance

Adds a persistent Print option to the Average Daily Attendance screen. The Print button is now always available, allowing users to generate a formatted version of the report and apply a selected letterhead template, regardless of report breakdown settings.

Resolves an issue where bulleted lists in custom parent registration text were not displaying correctly. Custom introductory messages on the registration page now properly retain and render unordered list formatting, ensuring bullet points appear as expected.

FOCUS-54742- Form Builder Time Validation with Military Time/24-Hour Format

Improves validation for required time fields in Form Builder when a user's preference is set to 24-hour clock format. Time entries now validate correctly without requiring AM/PM designations, and tooltip guidance adjusts automatically based on the user's selected time format.

FOCUS-54739- New Student Application Form Cleanup & Safeguards

Improves the New Student Application by strengthening how deleted forms and related requests are handled. The system now prevents deleting records in Student/User Form Publishing when form requests are attached, helping preserve data integrity.

FOCUS-54737- Add a Student: Resolves View Button Directing Users to Future Enrolled School

Improves the Add a Student search experience by ensuring the View button opens the student record in the correct school context. Student information now opens in the current school year's enrollment rather than defaulting to a future enrollment. If multiple enrollments exist in the current year, the primary school is used. When working in a future school year, the record opens in that year's enrollment as expected.

FOCUS-54708- Print Teacher Schedules: Resolves Incorrect Courses Showing

Improves the Teacher Schedule Report weekly planner to correctly display courses based on the selected marking period and rotation days. Sections now appear only on their assigned meeting days, ensuring the planner reflects the teacher's actual schedule.

FOCUS-54703- Grade Change Requests: Adds Tooltip to Status Explanation

Improves visibility of detailed status information within Grade Change Requests. The Status Explanation field now includes a hover tooltip on both the Teacher Request Grade Changes screen and the Admin Approve Grade Changes screen, allowing users to easily view full explanations without truncation in the table view.

FOCUS-54692- Portal Alerts: Missing Alert Awaiting Approval

Restores portal alerts for forms awaiting approval. Users with approval responsibilities will now see alerts on their home screen when forms are pending review, and selecting the alert correctly displays the list of items requiring action.

FOCUS-54689- Letterhead Templates Exclude District Field Upload Fields

Updates Letterhead Template rendering so that District-level File Upload custom fields are no longer displayed when printing documents. School- and Student-level File Upload fields continue to render as expected, along with the built-in District and School Logo fields. This ensures cleaner output and prevents unsupported district file uploads from appearing on printed templates.

FOCUS-54685- Ed-Fi Incident Location Descriptor Sync

Removes the prior restriction preventing Incident Location descriptors from syncing when using the "Sync Descriptors to Ed-Fi" option. The system now allows these descriptors to sync and will surface any permissions errors returned by the ODS directly to the user, providing clearer feedback during the synchronization process.

FOCUS-54676- Next Year Schedule Requests: Improve Changing Course Requests for Next Year

Resolves an issue where teachers encountered an error when modifying next year course requests. The system now correctly associates the update with the teacher's user ID, allowing course request changes to save successfully.

FOCUS-54675- Daily Attendance Recalculation for Concurrent Enrollment

Improves daily attendance recalculation for students enrolled in multiple schools with different rotation day settings.

FOCUS-54651- Medical Administration: Link Student Name in Calendar Log Events to Student Info

Student names displayed within Medical Administration calendar log modals are now clickable for users with appropriate permissions. Selecting a student name opens a new browser tab directly to the student's Medical Administration category, providing faster access to relevant records. If link data is unavailable or the user does not have access, the name remains as plain text to preserve system security and usability.

FOCUS-54644- Student Schedule: Retake Warning Trigger Refinement

The retake warning message that appears when a student has previously taken a course has been refined. The message will now only display when a course is being newly scheduled as a potential retake, rather than appearing during unrelated schedule edits such as updating funding or other schedule fields. This ensures the warning is shown only when relevant and prevents unnecessary interruptions during routine schedule updates.

FOCUS-54628- Grad Req. Report: Resolve Spanish Literature & Culture for Biliteracy Seal (APT S9)

The Graduation Requirements Report has been updated to include AP Spanish Language & Culture and AP Spanish Literature & Culture as qualifying assessments for the Seal of Biliteracy (APT S9).

FOCUS-54606- Students Being Scheduled into Inactive S1 Courses

Improves scheduling logic to prevent students from being auto-scheduled into inactive Semester 1 courses. The scheduler now properly respects section activity status and term alignment, ensuring only active and eligible sections are used during the auto-scheduling process.

FOCUS-54589- Add CC Validation to Emailing Report Cards & Progress Reports & Print Letters

Improves email validation when sending Report Cards, Progress Reports, and Print Letters. The CC field is now validated for proper email formatting before messages are sent. If an invalid address is entered, the system displays an error and prevents the email from being sent, ensuring successful delivery when valid email addresses are provided.

FOCUS-54581- Parent Portal Copy Address Respects Protected Status

The Copy Address feature in the Parent Portal has been updated to respect Protected Student settings. Students marked as Protected will no longer have their address information displayed as an available source when using the Copy From option for another student.

FOCUS-54528- Missouri State Course Number Sync Update

Enhances Missouri state reporting by ensuring state-specific course period fields properly copy and sync to student schedules and report card grade records. State Course Numbers now populate correctly in detailed grade views and update when changes are made in the Course Catalog. This update also includes backend support and migration logic to backfill existing schedule and grade data, improving accuracy and consistency for Missouri reporting.

FOCUS-54524- Student Schedule: Resolves Lunches Not Appearing on Student Schedule

Student schedules now correctly display lunch periods when using numerical rotation day labels. Previously, lunches were not printing properly for schools with number-based rotation setups.

FOCUS-54502- Address Fields: Contact Flag Highlighting & Priority

Adds new Highlight and Highlight Priority settings to Contact Flags within Address Fields. Administrators can assign a highlight color to specific contact flags so that any contact with that flag is visually emphasized on Student Demographics, Student Summary, and Advanced Reports. When a contact has multiple flagged designations, the Highlight Priority setting determines which color displays, with the highest priority overriding others.

FOCUS-54490- Restore Merged Students with Form Records

Improves the student restore process when a previously merged and deleted student has associated form request records. Students with Applications & Forms data can now be successfully restored through the Undo function.

FOCUS-54463- Communication: Teachers Always Default to Allow Replies

Teachers with permission to modify the Allow Replies setting will now see the checkbox selected by default when composing new messages. This aligns their experience with teachers who do not have edit access, where replies are also enabled by default. Administrators continue to follow their configured system default.

FOCUS-54370- Scheduled Jobs: Required Daily Maintenance Now Trims Exception Log

Enhances the Required Daily Maintenance scheduled job to automatically trim the exception_log table. Records older than 60 days are now removed.

FOCUS-54294- Communication Reports: View Users' Scheduled Messages

Users with the View All Users permission for Communication Reports can now open and review the full content of any scheduled message in the Scheduled Messages tab. Clicking a scheduled message title opens a read-only popup displaying all associated message types, including email, SMS, calls, and file attachments. Existing permissions for canceling scheduled messages remain unchanged.

FOCUS-54275- Pull Grades for Report Cards: Record Change Count Confirmation

The Pull Grades for Report Cards process now displays the number of records inserted or updated upon completion. This provides administrators with clearer confirmation of what was processed, rather than only showing a generic completion status.

FOCUS-54063- Application Editor: Improve Drag-and-Drop Precision & Visual Feedback

This update enhances the drag-and-drop experience within the New Application Editor, making form layout design more precise and intuitive. Each element now includes distinct top and bottom drop zones, allowing users to clearly insert items above or below existing fields, or nest them appropriately within groups.

Visual insertion indicators have been added to show exactly where an element will be placed before it is dropped, reducing layout errors and significantly improving efficiency when building or editing applications.

FOCUS-53854- New Online Application: Change "Review/Make Changes" Button to "Review" After Submitting Automatically Approved, Locked-After-Processing Forms

This update improves how applications behave when the Lock After Processing setting is enabled in New Online Applications. Once a form has been processed, parents and students can view the submission but can no longer make edits. The Review/Make Changes button now correctly changes to Review after processing, preventing unintended modifications to locked forms. Forms configured with Auto Process and Lock After Processing will automatically display as Review-only after submission. This ensures that processed applications remain securely locked while still allowing users to view submitted information.

FOCUS-53735- District Reports: Cross-Year Student Photo Reporting Improvement

This update allows student photos to be pulled from alternate school years within District Reports while remaining logged into the current year. By appending the parameter &syear=xxxx to the student asset URL, reports can now display photos from specific school years, enabling side-by-side comparisons or historical photo views in a single report.

FOCUS-53506- Parent Portal: Parent Report Card Acknowledgement Enforcement

This update improves how published report cards behave when parent acknowledgement is required. Parents can no longer access report cards by clicking portal alerts until the acknowledgement is completed, ensuring acknowledgements are properly collected before reports are viewable. Once the acknowledgement is submitted, alerts clear automatically and report cards become accessible as expected.

FOCUS-53181- Display Student Name on New Student Online Application

The Student Online Application has been updated to display the student's name in the top-left corner of forms and applications. This enhancement provides clearer context for users when completing or reviewing submissions, especially when managing multiple students.

FOCUS-45706- Print Grades Verification Sheets: New "Add a row with the Average" Option

This update enhances the Print Grades Verification Sheets feature by introducing a new option, "Add a row with the Average." This option is defaulted to off to preserve existing functionality. When enabled, an additional row is added at the bottom of each column on the Print Grades Verification Sheet, displaying the average for that column. This functionality mirrors the averages displayed at the bottom of assignments in the Teacher Gradebook, providing a consistent and useful summary.

FOCUS-54658- SSS: PMP Setup Tier Field Display Improvement

The Tier field on the PMP Setup page now displays correctly when adding or editing Tier Sub Level records prior to saving. Previously, the Tier value did not appear until after the page was saved or refreshed.
