The information provided in this document can be referenced to import student assessment data when extracted via ODDEX's Bulk Export feature. This generated file follows the data rules defined in the EMIS Guide for the Student Assessment (FA) Record.

Import Settings
Navigate to Imports in the Setup menu, then start the process by uploading your file.
- While in the File Format step, reference the Preview section to make your selections.
- If the selected format is Comma-delimited, click Next and continue to step 2.
- When working with a fixed-width file format:
- Click the Field Positions button.
- In the Template pull-down, select Student Assessment (FA) Record File Converter (ODDEX/EMIS Format v15.1) - Effective Fall 2024.
- Click Continue.
- If the uploaded data does not contain a header row, uncheck the box.
- Click Next.
- In the Select Tool step, click Import File to enter the import settings:
- Select the Test History import tool option.
- Select the desired Import Method.
- For the Standardized Test pull-down, leave the option blank.
- Select the Parse File check box and select Student Assessment (FA) Record (ODDEX/EMIS Format v15.1) - Effective Fall 2024 from the pull-down.
- In the Scores Layout option, change the option to Standard.
- In the Conversion Fields section:
- For the part_id and test_id conversion fields, the short_name option should be selected.
- For the student_id conversion field, the Statewide Student Identifier (SSID) (custom_30000000) option should be selected.
- Click Continue.
- Click Next.
Map Fields and Validate
Once back in the Select Tool step:
- Click Next.
- In the Mapping Template step:
- Choose an existing template, or
- Manually map the available fields, or add default columns or override values, and save as a new custom template.
- Click the Validate button.
- Check the validation results and review errors, if any.
- To complete the process, click Import.
If the Standard score layout was chosen, all the fields will be mapped automatically.
