Navigate to Imports in the Setup menu, then start the process by uploading your file.

1. While in the File Format step, reference the Preview section to make your selections.
   • If the selected format is Comma-delimited, click Next and continue to step 2.
   • When working with a fixed-width file format:
     1. Click the Field Positions button.
     2. In the Template pull-down, select the Ohio's State Tests - Student Results File Converter - Effective Fall 2024 option.
     3. Click Continue.
2. If the uploaded data does not contain a header row, uncheck the box.
3. Click Next.
4. In the Select Tool step click the Import File card to enter the import settings:
   
   1. Select the Test History import tool option.
   2. Select the desired Import Method.
   3. For the Standardized Test pull-down:
      • When the file only contains scores for one specific test, select the appropriate standardized test option.
      • When the file contains scores for multiple tests, or the file contains End-of-Course scores, leave this option blank.
   4. Select the Parse File check box and select one of the available Ohio's State Test options from the pull-down:
      • Grades 3-8 Alternate (GA) Assessment (AASCD)
      • High School Alternate (GX) Assessment (AASCD)
      • Ohio's State Tests (GN)
      • End of Course (EOC) Tests (GE)
      • Ohio English Language Proficiency Assessment (OELPA) (GF)
      • Alternate Ohio English Language Proficiency Assessment (Alt-OELPA) (GFA)
      • Ohio English Language Proficiency Screener (OELPS) (GFS)
   5. In the Scores Layout option, change the option to Standard.
   6. In the Conversion Fields section:
      • For the part_id conversion field, the short_name option should be selected.
      • For the student_id conversion field, the Statewide Student Identifier (SSID) (custom_30000000) option should be selected.
      • For the test_id conversion field and if no Standardized Test option was selected, the short_name option should be selected.
   7. Click Continue.

Once back in the Select Tool step:

1. Click Next.
2. In the Mapping Template step:
   • Choose an existing template, or
   • Manually map the available fields, or add default columns or override values, and save as a new custom template.
3. Click the Validate button.
4. Check the validation results and review errors, if any.
5. To complete the process, click Import.
