The Missouri Average Daily Attendance (ADA) Report calculates student attendance based on instructional hours within a selected timeframe, following Missouri attendance reporting requirements. The report uses scheduled hours, attendance records, enrollment FTE, and weighted FTE to determine hours present, hours absent, Hours ADA, and ADA × Weighted FTE, providing districts with an average measure of student attendance for state reporting and analysis.
1. In the Attendance menu, click Average Daily Attendance.
2. At the top of the screen, set the Report Timeframe by entering dates or using the calendar icons.
3. Select the All Schools check box to view the report for all the schools that you have permission to.
Users with permissions to all schools can view the report for the whole district.
5. To only include information for schools that are included in state reporting, select the Only Show State Reportable Schools check box.
6. Select the Breakdown by School check box to have separate reports by school.
Each school is listed with its own report. Only active schools are displayed (according to each school's min_syear and max_syear).
7. Include Secondary Enrollments is selected by default. Deselect to exclude secondary school enrollments from calculations.
8. Include Inactive Students is selected by default. Deselect to exclude inactive students from the report.
9. Click Go to generate the report.
The report displays data for the school selected in the top-right school selector. By default, results are grouped By Grade Level.
Regular Period Attendance
Includes any attendance:
- Taken by teachers
- Entered or edited through Administration, Late Check In / Out, or Attendance Chart
A section is included only if:
- The school date falls within the report timeframe, and
- The section is not marked "Exclude from ADA"
Note: Sections marked "Exclude from State Reporting" are included in the Missouri ADA Report. This setting is reserved only for excluding courses from the Course Extract.
If attendance has been edited, the Recalculate Minutes and Recalculate Daily jobs must be run for updates to appear.
Attendance minutes edited in the Absence Summary do not affect this report.
Special Additional Attendance
Special Additional Attendance is included only if it:
- Falls within the report timeframe, and
- Is not marked as Remedial, ESY, or Exclude from State Reporting
Remedial and ESY attendance are excluded from ADA calculations and are used only for state extract reporting.
Virtual Attendance
Virtual attendance is included after the end of the marking period if the student earns a grade for the Course History Term.
The section must meet all of the following:
- Instruction Method = Virtual
- Takes Attendance = Yes
- Exclude from ADA = No
