Chronic Absent: If a student’s hourly attendance is under 90%, then the Chronic Absent value is equivalent to the number of days the student missed at least 50% of the day (must be a whole integer).
Extended School Hours: Summer hours for ESY for students that qualify through the SpEd program and have qualified teachers leading the program.
- ESY hours can be notated through regular attendance by marking the Course as ESY
- ESY hours can be notated on an individual basis by going to Student Info > State Reporting > Special Additional Attendance and entering the hours with ESY = Y (attendance can never be both Remedial and ESY)
FTE: The reported FTE is based on what got entered on the student’s enrollment line, NOT based on the calculated one on the Average Daily Attendance Report.
0 if the student does not get reported
1 if the student is full time (can never exceed 1)
< 1 if the student is part time
- Calculated based on the student’s schedule
- Example: If Student A is scheduled for 500 minutes/week and the full time student is scheduled for 1,950 minutes/week, then Student A gets reported as FTE = 0.26. Their attendance is then calculated based on that FTE
Hours in Session: Number of actual hours the student could have attended at the attending school if they attended the entire regular school year. In no case should this be less than 1,044 hours.
Regular Hrs Absent: Hours Absent at that attending school (Regular Hrs Attended + Regular Hrs Absent can never exceed the school’s reported Total Hrs Possible in their calendar).
Regular Hrs Attended: Hours Present at that attending school (dually-enrolled students should have their hours split between the schools they are attending based on the schedule).
Remedial Hrs Attended: Number of remedial hours outside the normal school day.
- Usually entered under State Reporting > Special Additional Attendance using the Remedial check box
- Remedial tutoring can only be reported if the teacher is qualified for remedial teaching and the student qualifies for the instruction based on test scores
Summer Attendance: Hours student attended summer school.
Summer Membership: Total hours available for the student to attend (based on schedule, aka FTE for summer).
