Focus Transfers Checklist

This checklist is your step-by-step guide to managing student transfers between Focus districts. Whether you're sending a student to another district or requesting data for an incoming student, follow the list to stay organized and efficient. The Focus Transfers feature securely shares key student informationsuch as demographics, grades, test scores, and immunizations--so receiving districts can import records in real time. Authorizing a Student Transfer to Another District

1. Search for and locate the student.

2. Navigate to the Enrollment tab in Student Info.

3. Enter Drop Date.

4. Select the Drop Code from the pull-down.

5. Select receiving district from Transfer To pull-down.

6. Click Save.

Responding to Incoming Transfer Requests

1. Click the Portal alert or go to Students > Focus Transfers.

2. Click the Incoming Requests tab.

3. Adjust date range if needed, and click Search.

4. Click the Student ID number or Student name to review Student Info.

5. Option 1: Click Approve.

Clicking Approve will withdraw the student the day before the student enrolled at their new district (Drop Date), select the W3A Drop Code, and automatically populate the Transfer To pull-down.

6. Option 2: Click Deny.
