1. Navigate to https://dashboard.gotowebinar.com/
2. Sign into using the provided credentials.
3. Selet the correct webinar, such as Focus Forum: Focus Transfers.
4. Click Start if you are prepared to start the webinars with clients or internal staff or click Practice if you want to generate a practice session.
5. In the pop-up window, set up your Mic, Camera, Background, Computer Audio, then click Start my session or Ok, I'm ready.
Ensure your Mic is set up properly. The Camera, Background, etc., are optional.
Clicking Start my session (or Ok, I'm ready) doesn't start the broadcast--it allows you to access your session, share your screen, etc.
You do not need to click Record as the session will start automatically recording once you click Start webinar.
6. From here, click Share to share your screen.
If you haven't enabled the proper settings, click System Settings and click the toggle for GoTo to allow access. Note: If you are just enabling GoTo, you will need to restart the entire process with step 1 of this section.
a. Select the screen you'd like to share.
b. Select the applicable available options:
Optimize for video: Select this option when sharing videos or animations. This increases the frame rate and lowers the screen resolution to provide smoother video playback for participants.
Include GoTo interface: Do not select this option. When enabled, participants can see the entire GoTo application during screen sharing, including the meeting controls and any other GoTo windows you have open.
Spotlight me: Select this option to display your webcam feed within your shared screen. Your video appears as a small overlay, making it easier for participants to see both you and your presentation at the same time.
c. Click Share.
7. Click Materials to upload handouts or any other information yo'd like to share with the attendees.
If you don't see the Materials icon, click More (...) then select Materials.
a. In the Materials pop-up window, drag and drop the file you want to share.
8. Enable and use and other desired tools.
9. Click Start Broadcast.
If in practice mode, click Start webinar then click Start Broadcast to start the webinar.
10. Most sessions are an hour long. You will see the countdown at the top indicating how much time you have left.
11. Click People to see who is in attendance.
12. Click Chat to send message to everyone in attendance.
The chat is from you (organizer) to all attendees (or select attendees depending on your selection).
13. Click Questions to view or ask questions, as well as respond to questions.
14. Click Pop out to move the control panel into a separate window. This allows you to hide the screen-sharing preview and view only the screen you are presenting to attendees.
To make the shared screen display again, click Merge.
15. Click Leave to leave the session and/or end the session.
a. Click Leave this session to leave the session but not end the session. This option is available when other organizers or panelists are still available to take over the session.
b. Click End this session for all to end the session for you, other organizers or panelists, and all attendees.
